       And another update:  The temp assignment ended up going through
       the end of February.  My last day, they brought donuts, bagels,
       and clementines into the office for breakfast; a bouquet of
       flowers and thank-you card for me; and, I got taken out to lunch
       by my supervisor!
       Here is some of the feedback I got:
       From the department director:  "Thank you very much for your
       hard work over the last months.  You did a great job supporting
       the department.  I wish you all the best."
       From my direct supervisor, who started in her role about a month
       after I started in mine:  "Thanks for your time and work helping
       us/me to learn a new dept.  I wish you all the best in your new
       adventures!"
       From the executive assistant on my floor:  "Thanks for stepping
       into a difficult situation and working through it and for always
       keeping a cool head.  Good luck on any and all future endeavors.
       Who knows?  We may end up working together again (smile)."
       [The difficult situation she was referring to was that the last
       permanent person in the role quit on very short notice and
       didn't leave a lot of documentation for the next person.]
       And another update after that:  Before my last day, I put in an
       application for a permanent role at the housing nonprofit... and
       JUST got the news this morning that I'm on the shortlist for it!
       My interview is on Tuesday, March 12, at 9 AM.   ;D
