Garlic also keeps the vampires at a distance - three cloves
minimum. Fortunately, my husband loves garlic flavored kisses,
as long as he had some of the same dish!

Hoverboss's supervisors might be interested in hearing about
this situation; either Hoverboss is neglecting her own duties or
she doesn't have enough of them.

The first time she did something like that, I would sweetly say
“I’m sorry, dear, would you like to do this yourself?”
If she didn’t get the message at that point, I would regretfully
inform her that I couldn’t possibly work under such conditions
and perhaps it would be better for her to hire a high school
student, as I am not accustomed to being treated in such a
manner.
But I’m old and have no patience, so ymmv.

That's a good way to get fired.

I don’t think there can be more than one relevant to side to
this part: the OP is uncomfortable and many people would be in
the situation she’s describing.

I actually took Browzer's statement to be referring to what
would happen if OP took some of the advice on here (given
Browzer's additional comment that some of these suggestions are
a good way to get fired). For example: OP would decide she was
fully justified in doing X, some piece of advice she was given
here. The boss would feel highly offended by X. And the truth
of it would be somewhere in the middle--something needed to be
done, but X was too extreme. If that's what Browzer indeed was
saying, then I agree. I think some of these "suggestions" would
not go over well with one's boss.
I had a boss who we needed to lean over to get to his computer
sometimes to click on things or whatever and it was annoying
(there was nothing sexual harassment-related, I promise. He was
just reallllly bad with computers). We set up a second monitor,
mouse, and keyboard and it was life changing. (Of course, then
we had to convince him not to try to use the mouse while we were
using the mouse, since both mice were functional at the same
time.)
