There is this famous Mexican TV show that was airing when I was
a little girl. In one episode, the entire cast was going to
       Acapulco.
You can see where this is going...
One day, I said I did not want to go to “Anvil Beach” (where we
usually went to the beach)- I wanted to go to Acapulco
       instead!!!
Family quickly enlightened me that Acapulco was in Mexico!!!

My GD will be 5 soon. She, DM, her other GM and DB were taking
a walk. It was cloudy with some fog in the hills. My GD says
"That's not good" her DM asked what's not good and she said "the
clouds fell, that means it's going to get wet again". Future
       weather forecaster? :D

My granddaughter who is 7, going on 35, said to papa the other
day "Papa, I am not going to do this with you today." when he
was teasing her about, I can't remember what.

This one might be TMI but it's super-funny.
I was in a dressing room one time with my DD. She was about 2.5
yo at the time. It was that time of the month, and she saw the
string part of my "accessory" when I changed clothes. She
pointed at it and asked me what it was. I explained to her what
a tampon is and told her that someday, when she's older, her
body will change and she will probably use them too.
THree days later, we were driving home from day care and I asked
her what she wanted to do when we got home. Without batting an
eye, she said, "I want to go home and put a crouton in my
       bottom."

       You didn’t wear underwear to the store to try on clothes;
especially at that time of the month?!? That’s gross even when
not menstrating but, you’re a grown up right? Do you wanna try
on clothes knowing someone’s bleeding naked vajayjay has been on
       those pants?

That could be an assumption on your part. I know sometimes the
string would wander to the outside of my undies and hung out in
       the breeze.

Yeah, I learned the hard way to tuck the string out of sight...
[spoiler] Labia are great for that sort of thing! ;)

I went to a public pool years ago, wearing my bathing suit and a
friend politely said to me "Your string is showing" . . . so,
yeah, I can understand how a string slips outside of it's
       "underwear" containment.

BG: My stepfather recently retired from pastoring and moved back
to our home state. My mom just began treatment for breast
cancer. Some kids from their last church sent a packet of
homemade cards to my mom to cheer her up. She would like to
acknowledge these cards in a special way, so she asked my son
       (age 9) for ideas.
M: What is something I could send back to the kids to let them
know how much I appreciated their cards? What do kids like?
       S: an iPhone.
M: (blinking) well, I was thinking something smaller and not so
       expensive.
S: oh, then an iPhone 4.

My younger daughter (almost 6) was being particularly unkind to
her older sister (8) last night. The older one had written two
very short stories and they were reading them together. But
when it came time to read them to me, the little one said she
didn't know the words, and the older one wasn't allowed to help
       her. Only mommy could help.
The little one left the room and my older one said to me: "It's
not fair, mom. She was fine with me helping her before, but now
she won't let me help at all! And I'm a good reader! And I'm
always nice to her, and kind, and helpful. Karma isn't coming
       around fast enough."
