Did they give birth yet? Today was the first time I saw a
giraffe (doesn't look pregnant, maybe it was the papa). Then I
noticed in the comments section under the video:
"Both Abi and Hope are expecting and will be giving birth
anytime from late May thru June 2018"
I remember waiting for baby giraffe from a thread on the old
board. We waited and waited and waited . . . they finally posted
a video of the birth. It was quite interesting to watch the
progress, especially watching the mama when it was close to due
time. That zoo (don't remember which one) even posted
informative videos from the staff, sometimes with mama giraffe
eating from the care taker's hand while she gave her spiel. It
was very entertaining and informative. If I remember correctly,
a few days after the birth the site was shut down. No further
information was given.
That's why I'm wondering if the event posted here has past. Or
am I missing something?

No, they haven't! Abi is closer, but this is her first
pregnancy. There's also discussion that she is feeling exposed
and would prefer a hidden spot to give birth? They did check her
last week and still looks good, tho.

Your link to the video says "This live stream video is no longer
available" Darn it!
But I went back to your original link and saw Mom and baby
together in the cage. How sweet! ;D

The other Mama had her baby last night. I think they've shut off
the camera for now as new baby is learning to nurse. Not sure if
it's a boy or girl yet.
