None. I had a Maine coon cat BUT she moved across the state to
live with my daughter. Evidently she's served better food there.
       lol :D

We have nine indoor-only cats. They are happy cats and all get
along great. There are six males and the youngest three are
female. All were rescued when they were tiny kittens. Our home
is at capacity and there will be no more kitties added.
Besides, only nine stockings can fit on the mantle of the
fireplace. How many cats do I have to have before I become
       crazy cat lady?

Too late, you're already there! LOL! I am a bit envious, would
love to have a clutter of cats, but my house is too cluttered
and since Patty died I am just trying to be cat hair free for a
while. I have a few allergic friends who had to medicate
themselves to come over and visit!

Do these guys count? Thanks to the landscaping of our yard, we
have an (over)abundance of frogs - which I really don't mind, as
they help control mosquitoes, aphids, etc. I run across them
       frequently while watering my flower
       beds![attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

Gosh, I miss having cats. But DS is allergic and Brody the Rat
Terrorist is too aggressive. Brody is about 13 or 14, I think.
We took him from a friend because she had a toddler and was
afraid he'd nip her. At that time, we had another Rat Terrier,
Max. Max has since passed away.
Brody is wanting to spend as much time as possible outside in
the backyard this summer. He loves lying in the dirt by the
house or in the grass if it's shady. Reminds me of those old men
you see sitting in their lawn chairs in the driveway all day,
just watching the world go by. Brody also goes by B-Dawg,
Brody-Ody or by my DH - NumbNutz.

       three dogs and a parrot
Lucas - Mexican Hairless (xoloitzcuintli). Adopted at 10 months,
he's now 12. Clingy, demanding, he KNOWS he's Mommy's heart dog.
Slowing down a little bit now; as a youngster, he was an
       absolute handful.
Ariel - Chinese Crested/Terrier mix? A rescue from the streets
of Phoenix. She's the only girl dog, and works hard to keep the
boys in line. She respects no one but me. Probably about 9. My
houdini dog - she's the reason my backyard looks like an armed
encampment. She can clear a 5' fence from a standing start. She
can also climb fences/trees. She is utterly fearless except for
thunderstorms/fireworks, which reduce her to quivering jelly.
I'm expecting a bad day tomorrow.
Cimarron - pit bull/bulldog mix? Found by the side of the road
on my drive to work. Took him into the car to keep him from
being hit, as he kept trying to approach cars as they were
whizzing by at 65 MPH. Named after the Cimarron River - I found
him on the bridge over it. He had been adopted from the OKC
shelter and then dumped in the country. Clearly a rough start,
but he is an absolute sweetheart. I was originally going to find
him a new home (some folks may remember my posts about this on
the previous board), but he wormed his way into my heart. It
helped that he showed up a week before my previous dog, Pelon,
was diagnosed with bone cancer. Having Cimmy helped me through
that process - they bonded, and Pelon clearly gave him the
lowdown on how to fit into the family before passing 6 months
later. Now 2 1/2. Has accepted his place as the puppy of the
family - he is entirely submissive to the other two, despite
outweighing them by 20 pounds. He is an utter lovebug and likes
to snuggle with me under the covers at night. His goal in life
is to get petted by as many different people as possible and
play with as many dogs as possible. He likes cats, but can't
quite figure out how to get them to *play*.
Mango - a Senegal parrot. Weighs all of 4 oz., and is the
undisputed queen of the household. She rules everyone with an
iron beak. The dogs are terrified of her - she bites noses and
ears. She bites me sometimes, too, usually when being put back
into her cage before I leave for work. She likes to take
showers/baths with me. She'll drink the hot water and we have
conversations, either in "clicks" or in different intonations of
"pretty bird". She's now 19ish. They can live to be 40-50.
       Others:
Pelon - another Mexican Hairless, a rescue, lived with me for 7
years before dying of bone cancer. He had been left in a
backyard when his previous family moved. I cured him of licking
       himself raw *twice*.
Foster dogs - I've rehomed 20. They stay for some period and
then get adopted. The hardest part is letting them go, though
I'm facebook friends with many of their new families. Sometimes
exhausting, sometimes painful, but ultimately rewarding when
they go to new families who love them.
Morgana and Cormac - black, longhaired cats who showed up in my
yard as tiny 8-week-old kittens. They lived with me until they
passed at 17 and 18, respectively.
Charlie (Charcoal) - black tabby cat. I took in his mom after my
neighbors tossed her out and all of the kittens she had while
with them died of "accidents" (still don't know what happened
there). She had more kittens with me - all but Charlie were
adopted out. I kept him because he had an upper respiratory
infection while very tiny, and I spent several nights holding
and cuddling him to keep him breathing. Mom was feral, could
never cope with being a housecat, and escaped when I moved a
mile away. He died at 4, after a long hard-fought battle with
cancer, which involved me driving him to a veterinary cancer
clinic 50 miles away once a week for 6 months for chemotherapy.
With all of the associated expenses. He was the smartest, most
loving, *funniest* cat I've ever met. Seriously, this cat had a
sense of humor. He invented 'kitty armor'. He found an upturned
box, crawled under it, and then used it as a *tank* to swat at
other cats and the retreat under it to escape retribution,
before creeping along under the box to go swat someone else.
ETA: how does one attach a photo? I can't figure it out.

To attach a photo, scroll down just a bit under the reply box
that you type in. It says "attach" and "choose file". Click on
Choose File and select your photo. It has to be under 512 kb.
Then in the next drop down box, choose how you want it to
appear, usually either a thumbnail or (my preferred) inline full
sized image. Though it will be really big if you don't edit it
first, even if it's only 512 kb.

Very - also huge. The boy with the blue eyes is about 7kgs
(15lbs) and the boy standing at the kitchen bench (and seeing
over the top of it) is 12kgs (26 lbs)...
