Today, I have one glorious Maine Coon mix girl, of whiny but
sweet disposition. In the past, I have had 2 cats, and 5 goats
       at one time.

At the moment, one (American) Burmese cat, platinum color
(silver gray), named Michaelangelo, or Mickey. He's
extraordinarily friendly and people-oriented. I also think he's
lonely, since when he came to us, there were 3 people and 3
other cats. Now it's just him and me. He's such a sweetie, but
I really think I need to get him a friend so I don't have a
       perpetual furry laptop.

I have one cat, a tabby, who is 12 years old.
She's stingy in her affections (well, duh. Cat.) In other words,
if I want some kitty loving and she's not in the mood she will
       not comply. Sigh.
       She absolutely loves my DDs.
DD#1 hasn't lived in this home for 6 years now. Whenever DD#1
comes to visit Kitty is all over her, demanding love, pets and
       reaffirming/cuddling attention.
When DD#2 is sitting on the couch watching TV Kitty will sit on
the back edge of the couch and play with DD#2's hair. Kitty will
pet DD#2's hair, sometimes lick it, run her paws through the
       hair . . . I kinda think that she's taking care of DD#2's hair
just like DD#2 is one of her kittens.
Me? I've succumbed to Kitty's demands for cuddling (when she
       wants it).
       I'm a side-sleeper. When I'm on my right side Kitty isn't too
happy with the sleeping arrangement. Don't know why, probably my
sleeping position. But! If i'm on my left side, my left arm is
extended across the bed and (this is the closest she gets to
cuddling with me) she'll lay down next to my arm so that her
body is touching my arm. Sometimes she'll head-butt my hand
meaning that she wants scratches. If I try to pet her without
       the head but, she'll leave.
I've been trained to the point that when I'm comfortably in bed
(reading or snoozing) on my right side (actually my most
comfortable side) and Kitty jumps into bed with me, meowing
plaintively, I turn over to my left side. Kitty gets herself all
comfy and purrs up a storm.
       Yes, she owns me.
Yes, I love my cat! ;D

I have a 14 year old part Burmese part dog, extremely
intelligent cat who I once caught sitting on the door handle
with her paws wrapped around the deadbolt twisting it from side
to side. Dink also likes to play fetch.
Loki is a 13 year old cat who's parents we suspect were brother
& sister & also cousins. He is so very cute though.
Cleoratra is a black & white hooded rat, the dominant one. Her
sister Brie was one half of a Berkshire twin named after Brie &
Nikki Bella. A very sweet rat.
Cleo's sons, Speedy was named because before his eyes were open
he was the only one who wouldn't line up for a photo, he was off
in a hurry, very sweet in nature, loves to cuddle and groom me
while I give him head scratches. Magellan as soon as his eyes
opened he was off exploring. He has become more of a homebody in
his teenage years, also very sweet in nature, loves to nibble on
       my nails.
Four baby girl rats 10 weeks old, we're still getting to know
them but their personalities are developing fast. All named
after wrestlers except for Birdie who is named after Brie Bella
and Daniel Bryan's baby. Joey and Candice named after "the
world's cutest tag-team" and Nattie is a white pink eyed rat.
       Edit:
Sadly we've since lost Brie to a pituitary tumor and Magellan
passed away in his sleep while suffering breathing issues common
       to rats.
But life goes on and the twins Joey & Candice both gave birth a
little over a week ago with 8 surviving babies each. We're
planning on keeping 4 boys. The fathers are Speedy & Magellan's
half brothers/cousins (same dad, mum is their aunt Nikki) Sammy
& Bobby who my niece has had since they were 6 weeks old.

Re the part-Burmese... The behaviors you describe definitely

       played fetch.

I have Thomas, the tuxedo cat. I rescued him from the SPCA
almost eight years ago. He's either nine or ten now. He's only
affectionate when he wants something, absolutely hates being
held, and whines me out of bed every morning between 4 and 5 am
for his wet food. He loves to "slinky" down the steps from
upstairs. He'll lay down, hang his head over the edge and then
let his body slide. Then he gets up, changes sides and does it
again. Mostly he does it in the morning when I'm trying to leave
for work. He's taking a leisurely trip down the stairs all the
while I'm saying to him "Move it! Momma needs a parking space at
work!" (they are hard to come by if you don't get there before a
       certain time).

       I have 5 + 2 cats.
       Five cats live indoors.
Circe, a long-haired dilute calico. I adopted her when she was
6.5 years old, and she's now 10.5 years old. She loves to
       snuggle.
Autumn, a calico whose age is estimated as 7 years old. She's
believed to be the mother of the next two.
Domino, a black and white "cow pattern". He's the only boy in
the indoor group, and is approximately 6.5 years old.
TV, a black and white tuxedo girl, believed to be a littermate
of Domino, and approximately 6.5 years old.
Cosette (Cosy), a tortoiseshell who is approximately 3 years
old. She showed up sick in the cold and was my unintentional
adoption. (What can you do when you bring a cat into your
garage to shelter the cat from bitter cold, provide food, water,
and a litterpan and find out that the cat has eye-wateringly bad
smelling diarrhea? Take the cat to the vet, and spend $200
getting said cat healthy again. After spending that much, I was
not about to turn her back outside.)
Then there are the outdoor cats. I feed these boys once a day,
and they're just a hair more tolerant of me than totally feral,
but they're not going to transition to indoor cats.
Buddy, a male gray tuxedo (that is, tuxedo pattern, but gray and
cream instead of black and white). No idea of his age, but he's
been hanging about for a little over a year now.
Blot (Inkblot), a black cat, also male, who is extremely vocal.
He's been around for about 8 months or so.
Buddy and Blot don't really like each other, but as long as I
put the food down in two dishes, they let each other eat. I
haven't really been able to touch either one, but they don't run
       away from me any more.

       I have 4 cats.
Maggie (Queen Margaret) is 17years old. I've had her since she
was 3 months old. She is solid black and loved to snuggle up on
my chest. She has hyperthyroidism and early stages kidney
failure, but both are controlled by meds right now and she is
pretty healthy otherwise. She is named after the main character
in the movie Dead Again (her brother was named Roman, he died in
       2013)
Rosie is next. She is 14 years old and Calico. She has
sensitive skin so, thanks to her, all the cats are on a grain
free diet. She won't snuggle me when I am awake, but she sleeps
beside me every night, curled up against my stomach. She is
named after Rosie Cotton from Lord of the Rings (her sister was
named Samwise [long story why a female cat was named Sam lol],
       and she died in 2015)
R2 is almost 3 years old. He is a black and white tuxedo cat
that wandered up to a friend's apartment during a party when he
was about 6 months old. He had been abandoned and was obviously
hungry, and the party goers were being mean to him and I decided
to take him home, get him neutered and find him a home before he
turned mean. Yeah...I found him a home all right. Mine. He is
a snuggle bug and likes to bite my face (I think he thinks he is
grooming me, he's never drawn blood). He is technically named
Roman the Second (he looks exactly like my first Roman) but he
is called R2 and yes, the Star Wars reference is intentional.
The baby is T'Challa Moose and he is just over a year old. He
is solid black and looks like a miniature panther. My best
friend found him in the median of one of the busiest roads in
the city and snatched him up before he could get squished...he
was only about 6 weeks old and weighed less than 2lbs. Friend
couldn't keep him, so I took him. His name comes from the movie
Black Panther and Supernatural. I couldn't decide that day if I
was more of a Marvel fan or more of a Supernatural fan. I
actually do call him both names most of the time. He is one of
the sweetest, most loving cats I've ever owned.

We have a 14 year old beagle who mostly still acts a like a
puppy once he gets all of his morning kinks worked out. He has
lost some of his hearing in the last 2 years but that nose is
still a natural wonder. His favorite part of the day is his
evening treat. He's been getting a Meaty Bone every night after
his meal since he was probably 6 months old. After eating, he
stares at who ever is in "the chair" until they get up to get it
and he accompanies them to the utility room where we receives
his nightly treat, races back to the same spot in the family
room and then impatiently waits until the person who gave him
the treat returns to sit down and then he begins to enjoy his
snack. We have no idea why he trained himself to wait till the
human returns, but please do not decide to stop off in the
kitchen to get yourself a drink as he'll almost be in fits by
       the time you return.
Our cats are a brother and sister that are now 9 years old. Wow,
where does the time go, I still think of them as the new cats
after our other 2 died of old age. They are solid black, long
hair. They require way too much attention, the female is a lap
cat and the male wants to sit on the back of what ever chair you
are in. I'm not allowed to work in my office alone unless I want
constant pounding at my door. Instead of running and hiding when
strangers come (they actual run to the front door before the dog
does when the doorbell rings), they see anyone sitting on the
sofa as a new slave brought in to pet them. And if you are one
of those people who have the "abnormality" of not liking cats,
they will immediately be able to diagnose your condition and
their preferred method of treatment is full immersion by double
teaming you until I finally notice and ban them from the room.

We have nine indoor-only cats. They are happy cats and all get
along great. There are six males and the youngest three are
female. All were rescued when they were tiny kittens. Our home
is at capacity and there will be no more kitties added.
Besides, only nine stockings can fit on the mantle of the
fireplace. How many cats do I have to have before I become
       crazy cat lady?
Ryback is almost 8 yrs old and about 16 lbs. He is a gray and
white mask and mantle and is the oldest. He has taken care of
each kitty we've brought into the house, acting like a mama cat.
He's a good kitty who likes to fetch.
Zephyr is Ryback's litter mate so he's almost 8 but about 17
lbs. Zephyr is shorter and is a fat cat. He's low to the
ground and when he runs he's like a tank. He's a gray and
silver tabby. He thinks he's still a tiny cuddle bug. He tries
to jump and fit into places like the other cats but he just
       can't.
Fuzzy is 7 yrs old, orange and our only medium-hair cat. No one
else likes to clean his fur so he's our "red-headed step child".
His bone structure is large but he all fur and bone. He is
long, lanky and clumsy so he reminds me of an awkward teenage
boy. He likes to clean our faces.
Caesar is almost 5 yrs old and buff colored with a few white
rings on his tail. He is about 10 lbs and is one of our best
hunters. He watches out the window to protect our family. If a
moth/fly/cricket gets into the house, he's usually the one to
       take care of it.
Hector is a gentle giant who is 4 yrs old. He's probably about
17 lbs but he's not fat at all. He's white with a mask and
mantle coloring of a brown tabby with green eyes. He's super
friendly with all of the other cats and is not a good hunter.
He likes to fetch a four foot length of string. Over and over
       again.
Salem is a shiny black manx who is 3 years old and his tail is
about an inch long. He is a muscular 7 lbs and seldom meows.
He has bonded with Caesar and they are inseparable. He loves to
play but seldom likes to be petted. He a good hunter and can
jump straight up almost five feet in the air. The rescue agency
had Salem and his sister. When they adopted out his sister he
was so distressed that he bloodied his paws trying to get out.
He needs to be with other cats. So they put him in a cage with
another kitten who he immediately bonded with. We had to adopt
       her too....
Witchy is a fluffy short haired black and white tuxedo with a
white mustache and long white whiskers. She's 3 yrs old and
about 7 lbs. She wasn't a natural hunter but Salem taught her.
She was afraid of my DH for the first year (all cats like him)
but she got over it. She is very jealous. Whenever a cat is
getting petted she has to be there too.
Triskele is 1.5 years old and is a pretty white kitty with black
stripes and spots. She's a tiny little girl of about 6 lbs.
She's sweet and knows she's pretty. She likes to fetch milk
rings. Zephyr (aka fat cat) is sweet on her.
Patches is Triskele's litter mate. She might be 6 lbs. She's a
tortie. She has the colors of all of the other cats in the
house. We got her because she was Triskele's sister but we
thought she was kinda ugly. In less than a week we knew that
she was by far the cutest kitty in the house. She's absolutely
adorable. The sisters are always playing together.
