       What pets do you have?

       Hi Everyone!
I would love to know what kinds of pets you have, plus their
names and any adorable, interesting behaviours they exhibit.
       At the moment I have:
2 guinea pigs. Their names are Pants and Gator. We received them
in a huge indoor amazing click together kind of open cage thing
from friends who thought their little dog was allergic to the
pigs. Turns out the pigs were not the cause of the allergies,
and now said friends have two little dogs!! I think they are
rather old for guinea pigs (one is 6 and one is 4).
They make this really loud squeaking noise whenever anyone does
anything in the kitchen. They are also very cute!
We also have four chickens. Names yet to be confirmed, but
something like Kylo hen, Princess Darla, Candlelight and Scritch
and Scratch. We are kind of looking after them for a while for a
friend who is having renovations/ building work done. So I
assume we will have them for 6 - 12 months or until they die.
They are super cute! they like to stay in their group. When we
let them out into the big yard one will wander off then suddenly
realise it has left its friends behind and sprint across the
       yard to find them.
And there is one paradise beta fish called Shuushar. We've had a
few fish, but Shuushar is the longest lasting! (he must be
nearly three). HE does fish stuff.
       Tell me about your animals!

       Five cats:
Izzy, all black. The vet thinks he might have some Siamese
because he is so loud. He was a stray we were feeding and
letting in when it rained, and one day we found him sitting
outside our apartment with one leg all shot up :(. It had to
be amputated, but Izzy was ours forever. What a great cat.
Gracie, a Torbie. I always say it looks like she was attacked
by Sharpies. She is the Iron Queen of the house but a big baby
when it's just between her and her human :).
Tallulah, another all-black cat. She looks like Izzy's
daughter, and they are inseparable. Izzy, a cat from the
streets, "adopted" the kitten Tallulah and had to teach her how
       to cat.
Erza, named after a character in the anime Fairy Tale. She
took over DS's room and became DS's cat. Now that DS is away at
boot camp, I'm worried about her adjusting. She seems to be
coming out a lot more and playing with the other cats. ETA: She
is the largest cat, with very short grey and white fur. The vet
wonders if she was the offspring of a rabbit, it's so short :D.
Sprite, a grey tabby kitten about nine months old. He is Erza's
nemesis. They never fight, but Erza likes to throw her weight
around and try to intimidate him. However, Sprite is going to
       be a big cat ;).

I have a 3 year Shih Tzu named Benjamin. He is the best dog
ever. So funny, cute and friendly. And in 3 years that I have
had him, I've heard him bark maybe 20 times. He weighs 10 lbs
at his heaviest. I got him at a low point in my life and I feel
       he saved my life.
About a year ago, I got Harvest the torti cat for Benjamin.
Harvest was found outside at about 6 weeks old. I think
something must have scared her outside because she never
attempts to go outside, ever. Many times I have to step over
her to go out the door. I can leave the door open and go
outside and when I come back in she is laying right my the door
       on the tile.
They are so funny when they play together. Some day, I will
figure out how to post a pic.

I am owned by a 16-year-old Tortoiseshell kitty, aka Her Royal
       Furriness the Princess Rita.
Rita has been with me for 14 years, and after I moved to the new
house, she got sick. VERY sick. She is now in Stage 2 kidney
failure and her life is full of pets, meds, prescription food,
and me keeping her as calm and stress-free as humanly possible.
It's a good life and just like a cat, she doesn't appreciate it.
       LOL

We have two Maine Coon cats, brother and sister.
Max weighs about twenty pounds or so, and Lucy weighs about
fourteen pounds. Both are brown and white with a tabby pattern.
Both are extremely gentle cats, although they are not
particularly affectionate unless they want something. Max is
something of a "scaredy-cat" and spends a great deal of time
under the bed or behind the couch when there's movement or loud
noises going on. Lucy is much braver, and she is always out and
about when our family (or people she is familiar with) are
       around.
Both cats are adored by our toddler daughter, but, I must admit
that the feelings aren't really mutual. She is too loud and
jumpy for Max to be totally comfortable with her right now, and
Lucy puts up with her in what I'd call "minute mode," - as in,
she'll let her pet her for a minute, and then she's gone.

One female calico cat named Serenity. She's name for the space
ship, not the state of mind. Got her when she was about 1.5
years old. Scrawny thing with 2 parasites (giardia and
roundworm). My co-worker 'found' her on a adoption website just
after our previous cat died. Co-worker, in her pragmatic,
direct, Russian way insisted we would want another cat right
away, and she was absolutely right. We were missing that extra
warm body in the apartment. Within 2 weeks of Lucky's passing,
we had a new cat to look after us. She is now 11 years old and
       only has 5 teeth.

We have four cats. The oldest is "Kit" who is 14. He is part
Maine Coon and several years ago weighed 25 lbs. The vet put
him on a diet and he is now a healthy 15 lbs. He has a habit of
       growling and hissing at the other cats for a perceived slight;
such as standing over him when he is sleeping. The other 3 cats
each weigh around 8 or 9 lbs so maybe he is just throwing his
weight around. He is about equal black and white with fur about
an inch long all over. His favorite "growlee" is our rescue
named "Grey". Grey was an indoor and declawed cat whose lived
on the next street to us and whose owner passed away. Somehow
Grey was let out and another neighbor on my street started
feeding him but couldn't keep him because of her other cats.
Grey is estimated to be around 4 years old now. He is a large
cat but thin and sleek. He eats twice as much as the others but
doesn't gain weight. He has very long legs and tail. His face
is slender and long with a large nose and ears. He is a
beautiful gray except for his stomach, throat and lower legs.
       His fur is short.
Our really, really laid back cat is "Mater". He is a registered
Himalayan seal point. He is named for "Towmater" the tow truck
in the movie "Cars". His registered name is Dolce Pomodoro, or
Sweet Tomato. He was born on Christmas Eve and is now 11 and a
half. He is super sweet and loves to be petted and carried
around. He gets brushed every other day because his fur is very
long and silky. He loves the brushing. Once in a while he and
Grey will chase each other around the house and tussle for
awhile. Our fourth cat is "Marigold". She is the only female
and our youngest at just under 2. She is a short hair and is a
yellow and white tiger stripe. She is sweet, but doesn't want
everyone to pick her up or pet her. She is devoted to my DD
however and loves to be put on her shoulder and ride around the
house with her head hanging down over the shoulder. She loves
to pick up items and carry them around. For instance, yesterday
my DD had picked a few green beans from the garden and had them
in a shallow basket with some blackberries she had picked. We
began to find a few of the beans in various places on the floor
with a couple of bite marks on each where Marigold had gripped
them to take them away. When Grey saw one on the floor he took
a stance in front of it as if it was a threat. So we think
       Marigold was the thief.
We have pet insurance for all the cats and have them to the vet
twice a year for a regular exam and once a year for a teeth
cleaning, which is all covered by the insurance. They are
indoor only cats and we contain them in a bedroom when we have
guests. We have four litter boxes in various parts of the house
and little cages for each of them in case we have to take them
into our tornado shelter (in the garage). They are truly
       members of the family.

Aww... the kitty stories are making me want one again! But I had
a long haired cat (Patty) and I really need a break from the fur
all over the house. She was an indoor only cat and shed year
       round.
I do have honorary pets though as two of my friends have cats
and kittens. I just found out Houdini had seven kittens a week
ago! They're adorable. Dominick is another, he's a fairly young
(3 years I think) cat, full of spunk. Sodie, whose full name is
Cream Soda, for reasons unknown to me, is the old guy, he must
be 8 now, really laid back and Dominick just loves him!
Another (male) friend has Flash, who had a couple of kittens a
few years ago, Low Rider (<-this is why I mentioned the friend
is male!) (boy) and Charity (girl), and a half brother Koala.
Flash is a bit shy but she will come out, then roll around on
your shoes - we have no idea why. Rider and Charity were both
injured as kittens, we think the tom got in to where they were
and tried to kill them all (there were five) but these two
survived with rear paw injuries and are somewhat handicapped but
they get along fine. Rider comes out for petting, but Charity
has only recently (after 2 years!) started to allow me near
enough to pet her. Koala is my big teddy bear - he loves to be
picked up and petted and will just lay in your arms like the big
lump that he is. A new cat joined them this year (they are all
outdoor cats), we called her Cappucino - she looks like a long
haired Siamese somewhat. She just had kittens a while ago too,
but again, something got all but one of them. That one is called
Latte and looks just like her mom! I would take Cappy in a
heartbeat, she's so sweet, but I don't think she'd like to be
kept indoors and she sheds like crazy. Maybe someday in the
future, but for now, no kitties.

Right now, I have 7 cats and 1 dog.
The dog, Fergus, is an English Mastiff Shar Pei cross. He's not
very big, about 75/80 pounds, but he has the mastiff bark. He is
a mama's boy, but loves his daddy too.
The newest addition to the cats is Bosco. I heard Fergus barking
last fall, on a windy day. I looked out the window and saw a bag
blowing around, so I thought he was barking at the bag. I walked
past him, and picked up the bag, turned around and there was an
orange kitty, contemplating walking up to barking like hes going
to eat him dog. Since I had a full house with the cats, I would
have normally left him outside. I asked my neighbor if he was a
homeless cat, and he said he was. I opted to bring him inside,
since that sounded like a better idea than cleaning cat parts up
out of the back yard. I don't know if Fergus would have torn him
up, but I didn't want to find out. Since then the 2 of them are
       inseparable.
There is Pandora and JT. They are brother and sister, we've had
since my ex-husband found them outside his house. Pandora is all
black, possibly has some Siamese in her. She has the facial
shape eyes and ears of a Siamese. JT, short for Jungle Jim Tim,
is a grey tabby. Both of them were pretty wild when they came
in, and were in a critter cage until they tamed up a bit. JT's
moniker came on, because when I opened the door to feed them, he
would fling himself outside the cage and hang on to the outside.
Riley, another black cat, she's just a love bug and she likes to
       talk.
Smudge, long silky hair, black and white. She has what looks
like a little smear of paint by her nose, hence her name. She is
a love bug and a talker.
Baby Girl. She was supposed to be rehomed, but we could not find
a family, so she stayed with us. She's a real real itty bitty
kitty, and she is another absolute love bug. She also gives lip
       to lip kisses.
Finally, there is Rampage, aka, Page. He is Pandora's son. While
she is maybe 7 pounds of finely boned kitty, he is a monster, of
about 20 pounds. He is not fat, but just a really big cat. He
also has the look of a Siamese cat, the almond shaped eyes, the
shape of his face, and he likes to talk, and he is LOUD! He has
actually startled me when he's walked into a room and screamed
       at me.
