       Re: "New" sewing machine

I happen to be in the market for a new sewing machine - one of
mine had the motor burn out and some thread sensors also needed
replacing - but there is no stock of new thread sensors to
replace them with. Rather than pay for a partial repair &
wonder when the machine was going to quit working again, I
stripped it of useable accessories and had it recycled...
I am looking for a new sewing machine and the closest sewing
machine dealer is a quilt shop less than five miles away that
sells Brother machines (it's even closer than the closest
JoAnn's). Could you tell me the model number (I don't belong to
a Costco)? There's a January sale going on at a lot of sewing
machine places, so I plan to go over there later this week to
see what they have that I might be interested in. I have a
green plush "brushed polyester fleece" that my mother made a
coat out of in October...and it is my new go-to test fabric to
see if I can find a machine that will handle it. I may not make
anything out of the same fabric, but it would be nice to have a
machine that would handle the topstitching and make buttonholes
       in that stuff.
