i have had people say that...some just complain, some have
"muted" me...but that is their choice.
I have taken more political stuff to twitter though.

I have unfollowed people (both sides) If I don't like a post I
delete it.

I have no problems being unfollowed, or even blocked if a person
feels it's necessary. Out of curiosity I checked my wall and
most of my posts tend to be random cute animal stuff, various
gaming things and other non-political stuff.
She may have her FB set up to show when friends like or comment
on stuff. I tend to be active on threads for some news
organizations and certain political activist groups I'm with.
The one who shares a lot of political stuff is her daughter, but
I wise enough to so not go there.

She can unfollow people if she's tired of seeing it. No one
else needs to censor themselves for her.

My solution to posts I don't like is to scroll past. I censor
nobody. (Though I did defriend someone who I met in person once
and seemed stellar, but his posts constantly revealed him as
bigoted). I think it's healthy to see things we disagree with.
People telling me what to post on my wall? Their problem, not
mine.
Had one friend post a few days after a major political news
event that he was sorry, but he was going to have to start
unfriending people that posted X types of posts about Major
Political News Event. I thought it was rather arrogant of him to
think that we were all going to say to ourselves, "OMG, I had
better not post that, because then John will defriend me!" Nope,
I kept posting what I wanted to post.
A few more times, he posted something along the lines of, "OK,
final warning, I will be deleting people that post about X."
And it's like, "OK, buh-bye then! You ARE allowed to unfriend
people; you are not required to announce it."
I notice he is still on my friends list, though I think his
opinion on this matter is stupid, and I am pretty sure he thinks
mine is as well. But we were friends in college, so.....

My cousin brags about my defriending her over politics.
😀 She knows nothing about history and got many facts
wrong.

I meant to follow up and forgot. Recently she's gotten back on
FB and apologized for her attitude. I suspect her daughter had a
few words to stay to her (I'm online friends with her daughter
too). And she said she is now filtering posts.
