Our granddaughter graduated!

Our granddaughter graduated from high school today. A huge
number of her family was there including a teacher from her
grade school! We were so proud of her, with her academic cord
and her music cord!
In a very touching moment, the principal had all of the alumni
stand so that the graduating class could see that they were
leaving high school, but they were also joining a huge community
of alumni.
For our DGD, both of her parents and both of her Aunts are alum.
I'm also happy to report that our son made the best food for the
after party: lumpia and Korean tacos.

That is a nice moment--and very inspiring!
Congrats to the kid, and to you, for the family you helped to
craft that supported her.

Aw, thanks everyone!
Korean taco: I don't know exact ingredients and my son is being
silly about sharing with me, so I am probably going to ask for
him to make it for a lot of gatherings, until he gives me the
recipe! (I've given him all of my recipes, so turn about is
fair. Not going to give me the recipe? Okay, make it for
Mother's day, my birthday, etc.!)
It is made with steak meat which is marinated in a sauce (maybe
soy sauce, sesame seeds, +?) and then it is quickly cooked and
when you put it together, you have a tortilla, put the meat on
it and then add some sort of coleslaw mix, fold it up and Yum!
I'm probably going to look to see what I can find on the
internet to help me. I told him I would never bring it to any
family gathering, but that I'd love to make it for his father
and I. (Granddaughter would probably give me the recipe if she
knew it, so he'll have to keep her in the dark, too!)

I will unless I have to promise to never give away the recipe!
