Can we talk cheese again?
By: MOM21SON Date: June 9, 2018, 5:58 pm

I love cheese! I can't get enough. Yesterday I picked up
smoked fontina, smoked hard sharp cheddar and whiskey cheddar.
I'm in heaven. I'm off to see if I can find a website to order
cheese.

Cheese - one of my favorite food groups! Currently I have two
kinds of feta, two kinds of shredded, one Boursin, one package
of Laughing Cow, and two kinds of hard cheddar in the fridge.

This reminds me of a burger a friend of mine was telling me
about last night. She lives in Wisconsin and is a self-avowed
cheese snob.
The World Dairy Burger: Burger topped with american, swiss,
cheddar, provolone and blue cheese with lettuce, tomato and
onion on an asiago bun and a side of cheese curds.
My brain was all kinds of boggled. :)

I want squeaky Wisconsin cheese curds. However, I live in NYC,
and it's not that easy to find them.
Cheese can be expensive--we sometimes have celebrations at work,
and for one person's party I decided to get cheese and crackers.
I spent $40 or something! And I bought supermarket cheese for a
few of them.

How could you be sure there was a burger in there? LOL!

Here’s a silly cheese anecdote. I love cheese but feel like I
don’t know much about it and choices are somewhat limited in my
main grocery. As a result, when I have a party I get a little
stressed selecting it. Even more recently because a coworker
that lives in (and is from) France was coming. I figured she
would be polite but would not be impressed with my Camembert
wheel.
Instead, she was delighted and ate lots of it. She said that it
was really very good. I was so happy! Both because she enjoyed
it and to know that we can get good quality cheese right here in
my little town.

Where oh where can I find such a delicacy?*
My parents live in Wisconsin and there's this little cheese
store on the way to their house that I absolutely adore. I go in
there and it's like a playground of delicacies.
Anybody like limburger cheese? I love it!
*All except for the blue cheese. That's about the only cheese I
will not eat.

I love Limburger... and Pont L'Eveque, and Morbier, and pretty
much any and all of the strong stinky ones.
It is not unusual to find anywhere from 12-15 cheeses at any
given time in my fridge. Right now there are:
sliced cheddar, swiss and provolone for sandwiches/ hot sliders.
gouda, jarlsburg and Australian cheddar for nibbling.
There are a couple 1# wheels of Brie (makes a great grilled
cheese with a grape chutney)and a wedge of St Andre triple cream
Brie.
A wedge each of Danish Blue, domestic blue and a gorgonzola
dolce.
There are 2 , 2# bags (one partially used) of Belgioioso Italian
blend of shaved Asiago, Parmesan , and Romano for using on pasta
and salads. Nice big shavings that could be served with crackers
and wine as well.
Also there is a nice hunk of the aforementioned Limburger, and
the ubiquitous cream cheese. And for any of you that do /don't
consider it so, there is one of the 2# loafs of Velvetta for
making Rotel dip! ;D ;D ;D
Forgot to add, 3 bags of shredded; mozzarella, Italian blend,
and sharp cheddar.
