Proof I am working on them! LOL! I actually did 20, there's only
17 in the pic. A few were pre-folded but not put together. And,
see Current Projects for what else I did.

Oh, wow! We never doubted you were working on them, but it is
lovely to see the "fruits".[emoji1]

They're done! They are actually called Hina dolls. The big bride
and groom I just made on a whim, don't know yet if she will use
them! The little ones will be attached to place cards for the
wedding party and the parents & siblings table.[attachimg=1]

Thank you - they were actually quite easy. The hardest part?
Penning in the hairlines! LOL! I am not so great with drawing
and filling in the hairline, but I did pretty good. No one is
going to look that close anyway.

My mother does origami and I love to watch her, but I'm not
going to do it myself. Joint issues make it just too difficult.
But I've seen the joy on the faces of people when she has given
hers out, so I know that your friends will be over the moon!
Your work is beautiful!

Thank you! But most of the credit goes to the Japanese - I am
continually astonished at how people figured out the
construction of so many of the things.

My husband believes there is a Department of Japanese
Fiendishness that comes up with ideas like that. I love them
for sudoku, gogen, kurosu, et al, as well as the origami.
I love your figures, Pattycake.

Thanks. Sudoku IS evil... LOL! I tried it once or twice. Now I
am going to do a sudoku quilt, which is where you take 9 fabrics
and follow a sudoku answer sheet to put them together! I did one
big one, now I want to do a bunch of smaller ones with pretty
fabric to make a roughly queen sized quilt.

I suspect there's a beautiful, random kind of logic to the
placement of the squares...
