I offered to make about 150 little origami boxes for my friends'
daughter's wedding! That's folding about 600 little pieces of
paper - oh my! Then I will do place names for the head table and
the parents' table but I don't have them done yet - pictures
later of those. Here's the boxes.

What kind of origami flowers do you do? Those are my favorites.
I posted a photo of origami hyacinths to the old site. I'll try
to find more photos and post them in a new thread.

Or make more flowers... ;)

Sorry, don't know how I missed your post! I haven't done any
flowers yet. I have lots of books, and would have learned if I
had had enough time before the wedding. I think they would have
made terrific table centrepieces, and the kind that the bride
wouldn't mind giving away to people that came. Alas, she met the
boy in late September, and by Christmas they were talking
marriage in the summer. Officially engaged after he met the
parents in April. So yeah, not enough time! I am so glad she
decided on unlidded boxes as that would have cost twice as much.
She is a college student right now, and paying for most of the
wedding herself from her savings from when she was working for
three years before going to school, so she decided to be a bit
more frugal. Yay, because then I would have totally gone round
the bend with folding that much!

Thanks! I still have about half to go... I have been
procrastinating, but I still have about 6 weeks. I plan to be
done by the middle of July though. I keep piling stuff on my
craft table so I have to clear it off one more time then settle
in and fold fold fold.

We most definitely are!
I'm doing 15-minutes on my timer for my procrastination thing -
could you do that every day? Wouldn't finish them, but would
bring the number down each time...

haha! THanks. Today's job is to get the cross-stitch stuff
sorted and off the table (and perhaps post some of the stuff for
sale). Well, that's this morning's job, this afternoon's is
hopefully to spend a couple hours folding. I can't wait to get
to the emperor and empress, pictures will follow! They are for
the place names.

That's kind of what I am trying to do, but longer times like
about 2 hours. I only get about 8 folded in half an hour (that's
32 papers!). I listen to old time radio programs while I do it,
so that makes it enjoyable.

Crikey, they are labour intensive, aren't they? We're wishing
you well, and looking forward to the emperor and empress pics.

Proof I am working on them! LOL! I actually did 20, there's only
17 in the pic. A few were pre-folded but not put together. And,
see Current Projects for what else I did.
