"Fair Living Wage" Fee and Tipping

On occasion I use a laundry service. They charge $1/pound with a
minimum of 30 pounds, so a minimum of $30 for their service. I
usually tip $10 for a 30-pound load.
The last time I used their service, I did not weigh my load,
thought it was heavy enough. But it only weighed 16 pounds.
They charged me $16 for the clothes and added on the extra $14
as a "Fair Living Wage" charge. I never heard of this before.
I totally get it. I agreed to a $30 minimum payment. Have no
problem paying it.
My question is . . . do I still tip?

Are you sure it was only 16 lbs? Maybe it really was 28 lbs and
you were charged the usual amount but it was labeled different.
If so--give the usual tip. If really only 16 lbs--half the
usual amount. Tip half the usual amount. OR if saving $5.00
would haunt you for months or years--tip the usual amount and
consider it a life lesson.

They weigh the items and the weight is entered on the receipt.
I'll go ahead and tip the full amount. Thanks.
