My goodness, was there a sale at the audacity store?

I read this letter to Ask Eric about a couple married a year
prior and asking co-workers to donate to a honeymoon fund. It
sounds as if gifts were given at the wedding. The first line of
the response cracked me up... it's what is quoted in the subject
       line.

Ha! Yes, that's a funny line.
To answer the LW, I would just keep my mouth shut. The coworker
doesn't sound like anyone I'd be inclined to want to be friendly
with outside of work, and the potential repercussions of
advising her outweigh any benefit I can think of.

Seconded. She has created an account on a crowd-funding website
and let everyone know she wants them all to chip in to the tune
of a minimum of $75 each for her delayed honeymoon. When
contributions failed to flood in, she let everyone know that she
was disappointed by their stinginess. If she’s not capable of
working out for herself why she's at risk of losing friends,
it’s quite pointless to try to explain to her.

       Aleko's answer is perfect.
