TinyKittens and Shelly Roche

I'd love to have this discussion in which we can share our
mutual love of TinyKittens.com. For those who are not familiar,
TK was started by Shelly Roche, an American who married a
Canadian and now lives in Langley, BC, Canada, a rural area
outside Vancouver. She started feeding a colony of feral cats in
a nearby area, a place now termed the Happy Forest. It has grown
into a huge worldwide phenomenon as her efforts have expanded to
include the spaying/neutering of 91 percent of this 200+ cats
colony, management and assistance of other colonies, savior of
mothers and kittens, an astonishing adoption rate of formal
ferals, and much more. If you have ever wanted to believe that
small bits of help in one corner of the world can and do
influence events and people far beyond that corner then Shelly
is the person who can do just that.
Right now, she has four of her own (the teens and the so-called
Miracle Kitten, Cassidy), an ancient tom named Grandpa Mason who
has turned into a major feline celebrity, three adult former
ferals looking for new homes, one adult feral who isn't happy
with humans and will be released to her friends as soon as her
spay heals, and two very bonded mothers with nine kittens, one
of whom has a cleft palate (and whom Shelly feeds every two
hours) who has won my heart and thousands of others.
So ... after all that, who else is addicted to TK? I am hoping
this thread will stay and be added to as the cats in her care
come in, get helped, and go to new homes or to their home in the
forest much better.

I've been a Tinykittens fan since Firefly! I found her through
FDJ's Critter Room & I follow both a lot. Kitten therapy keeps
me sane! I also follow Margo's Menagerie, Cassie's Kitten
Kastle, Sarah's Kitten Cuddle Room & several others.

I follow Grandpa Mason on FB after reading a story about him
with his first batch of kittens. He's such an adorable guy and
you can see how he's slowly warming up to Shelly.

Today around 5:00-5:30 PST Pansy passed away. She had been taken
in for biopsy then was rushed to the ER. Gwen and another of the
regular snugglers were with her when she died as Shelly had to
go home and feed Aura. You can still catch Shelly talking about
(and crying) on the kitten cam around 6:30.
