Was this okay? (On-line ordering)

Reading Rho's thread "should I place another order?" got me to
thinking about something I did a few weeks ago. Now I'm second
guessing myself as to is what I did okay?
Last February I ordered an item from Amazon that cost $20ish. I
wanted to order two more so a few weeks ago I went back to
Amazon and found that the price went up quite a bit. I noticed
that a coupon came up for $12 off which brought the price back
down to the original cost. Cool!
When I went to check out, I noticed that only one $12 coupon was
applied so I changed the quantity ordered to one and completed
the transaction. (I didn't really need two)
Then I thought "Let's see what happens." (because I really
wanted two) I went back to the items' page, placed an order for
one and the coupon popped up again. Checked out, coupon was
applied, and all was super cool!
I think I'm in the clear because there wasn't any
'one-time-use-only' on the coupon that I saw. Plus, if coupons
are tracked, I used my same name, same shipping address, etc.
for both orders. Wouldn't they have picked up on that?
But was this okay to do? Did I skirt around the coupon rules? I
mean, why didn't the coupon apply to both items when I placed an
order for two?
Just curious as to your thoughts.

IMO, you're good. Tech could have blocked the same account from
using it again.

You said the coupon had no restrictions listed. They could have
easily set up a block of sorts to prevent you from purchasing a
second one with the discount. In fact, it sounds like just the
opposite. It sounds like the coupon popped up a second time to
entice you to purchase. I see no issues.

You were fine. The rule seems to be one coupon per purchase not
one per household. Enjoy your items.

I do the same thing with the coupon for a certain craft store
that says you get a percentage off for one full price item. I
just go back the next day for another item.
