       I think the best answer would be "Mom said X could come over to
       play."
       It feels harsh, but I don't think kids should be forced to play
       with everyone. As an adult, I get to pick my own friends and
       companions. I can have any arbitrary reason for not liking
       another person. Sometimes I can't even articulate why I don't
       like them. I just don't. Kids are the same way.

       The times I couldn't articulate why I didn't like someone and
       brushed that feeling aside in an effort to "be fair" and "give
       them a chance" all resulted in my having the solid reasons in a
       short amount of time... and giant bitemarks on my posterior.

       I am curious about how you got those bite marks...but I'm too
