I only know they are called that because I watch a lot of Food
shows like "Worst Cooks in America." The instructors actually
teach the amateurs what a mandolin is and how to use it, with
special warnings about cutting their fingers if they're not
careful.

Can verify. They're wicked sharp. I love them for rapid, even
slicing though.

Use a mandoline without a finger guard. <cross-list with
Gross-Out stories!>

Can confirm. Not a recommended course of action.

This morning I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep. So
at 5am I decided to get dressed and sign into work (still
working remotely). I took a clean pair of yoga pants and tank
top out of my drawers and got dressed with a dim light on.
Even though I felt wide awake I know that I was still a bit
groggy so early in the morning, but got into my project and
worked away.
A couple of hours later I'm realizing that my yoga pants were
tight around my belly and not very comfortable at all. Did they
shrink when I washed them? I know they were new, but I had
washed them several times already.
Did I gain weight? NOOOO! I know I haven't weighed myself in a
couple of days but last time I did I had lost a few pounds.
I was disgruntled. I thought I finally found a pair of quality
yoga pants that fit me to a T. Just right around my belly, form
fitting on my legs (not too loose for my size), and great
material that looked good and not cheap so that I felt
comfortable enough to even wear them in public. Sigh.
I got to a break-point with my work project, went to my bedroom,
pulled out one of my old, comfy, very loose, pair of yoga pants
in order to change into something more comfortable.
While I was taking off the pants that I was wearing? I noticed .
. .
. . . they were on backwards.
Yeah, don't wear your pants backwards. It's just not
comfortable.
