I'm going to be wearing a mask in certain situations regularly
now as I am convinced that's what prevented my seasonal head
cold, and yeah, I'm anticipating some hostile reactions.
Hopefully not very many.

I've been hearing this from quite a few people, so you won't be
alone in your mask-wearing. I'll be right there with you.

Maybe we should create a fancy wave like all the bikers do!!!
;D

OT: My husband and I have a '52 Plymouth Cranbrook done up as a
police car. We were doing a road rally and we got the biker
wave from a passing motorcyclist. You know you have a cool car
when you merit the biker wave! ;D

I had a Ford Festiva - they had a cult following - of 16 year
old boys. I'd get the wave from them all the time. It always
made me smile.

You know how so many people have big words embroidered on their
masks, to make a political statement? And then there are masks
with logos, etc.
Maybe we need to get patches or embroidery or pins that say
"allergies" or something. So we don't get yahoos hassling us
about why we haven't taken our masks off.
(and FYI--while your mask is more powerful at protecting others
from your germs, in terms of COVID-19, it does have an effect of
protecting you from other people. Not as powerfully, but it's
better than nothing! Especially if it fits well.)

Hooray!
Where I am, it feels like two things at once: (1) that everybody
is vaccinated, and (2) that people have had a hard time getting
openings on the schedule.
I think one thing that's causing that dual perception is that
there are more appointments available--more vaccine has been
delivered to more places, and also that so many people have
gotten through the process earlier. Which frees up some of the
pressure on the time slots.
