I get my second dose tomorrow! Then, I’ll feel comfortable going
back to work and out to eat. I can’t wait to get appetizers and
dessert properly spaced from my entree. Otherwise, my life
hasn’t been too restrictive. My kids are back to in-person
school, and my husband and I are part of presenting virtual
       church.
I am most looking forward to stores opening up fitting rooms. My
wardrobe is really suffering, and Amazon isn’t quite meeting my
       needs. Hopefully soon!
Also, much as I love him, I can’t wait for my husband to be back
to on-site work. We share a home office, which works when he
just has the sporadic project to finish up at home. Not so much
when he’s there All.The.Time. The time is coming!

I can relate to the bolded. I've done okay with dresses online,
but I really need to try on some jeans. I tried just measuring
and ordering accordingly, and... nope. Ugh. Ladies sizing is the
       worst.

I got my 2nd shot last Friday. I'm looking forward to
entertaining at home. I mean the whole shebang - the good
china, silver, drinking wine, talking and laughing while the
candles burn to nubs. I'm not much for restaurants. I like
       inviting people to my house.
Actually, we did entertain. During the pandemic, my daughter
met, dated, and married a very nice man. We had a small 30
guest wedding reception in the yard - a garden party, really.
The whole thing was outside. I separated the food tables across
the yard so guests wouldn't bunch up. Our 2 bathrooms had paper
guest towels, spray disinfectant, and hand sanitizer. Hand
sanitizer was on the tables which were small and only
       accommodated 2 or 3 people.

Sooo... I've decided to be selfish. I have spent the last year
making decisions based what would keep others safe and keeping
their business open and alive. I hardly did anything outside of
the home and made sacrifices to keep my boss's business alive. I
was so excited last week when I was heading for my first jab
that I announced it to my boss. That is when my boss told me
that she's going to wait and see about getting the vaccine for
herself. ??? I'm over all of this! After I'm vaccinated, I
will no longer be making decisions based on the good of others,
but rather I am going to make some decisions with MY best
interests in mind! First stop... hair salon!!!

I hear you!! I keep seeing "I'm not getting a vaccine!" posts
and hearing those conversations and I'm exhausted by them. The
same people who aren't vaccinated are vehemently anti-mask as
well. Several of them are calling themselves "the control
       group."
Two days ago, DH and I were in the dollar store parking lot
waiting to pull out. Someone drove past and started yelling at
us and flipped us off. We were at a complete stop and I looked
quickly to see if DH had pulled out a little too far. (He
hadn't.) We couldn't figure out why he was so angry and
aggressive. Then, I said, "Oh we haven't pulled our masks down.
Is that it? Is he that mad about our masks?" We got home and saw
the articles about the talk show host who'd encouraged people to
be aggressive with people wearing masks outside, so it might
have been the masks. (The CDC guidance hadn't changed on masks
outdoors yet, but even with the update, if we were from
different households in the car and unvaccinated we should have
       been wearing masks.)
I'm over the vitriol and spreading of disinformation. I'll
follow the CDC guidelines because it's the right thing to do for
the common good, but the "control group" is on my last nerve.

I'm going to be wearing a mask in certain situations regularly
now as I am convinced that's what prevented my seasonal head
cold, and yeah, I'm anticipating some hostile reactions.
       Hopefully not very many.

We’ve booked our late summer vacation. It will be Tauck’s
“Legends of the American West”. We’re also looking at an
October cruise on the Ohio River. The autumn foliage should be
       lovely.
Here, the mask restriction on vaccinated people have been eased
somewhat. However, we’ll be continuing to wear masks outdoors.
       Better safe than sorry.

I think the additional hand washing has had as much to do with
not getting colds and flu this year as the masks did. But I'm
thinking I'm going to be wearing a mask, too, while shopping.

I'm going to continue with my mask, cart wipes and hand
sanitizer after shopping. I've not had a cold in three years,
and it's glorious. I already washed my hands incessantly.

I also need to go to Best Buy and get a new phone. Mine is
driving me nuts. Tried to use cell data, kept shutting itself
       off.

I've been hearing this from quite a few people, so you won't be
alone in your mask-wearing. I'll be right there with you.
