Thank you! I am adding clams to my shopping list right now.

That's pretty close to the same recipe that I use. I don't add
celery and sugar? I know it's just a small amount, but maybe
I'll try it next time.
Diced potatoes is key. I do not like clam chowder with huge
chunks of potatoes, making it more a potato chowder than a clam
chowder.
I use chopped clams rather than minced. I like CLAM! in my soup
;D
Thanks, oogyda, for posting this recipe.

This thread made me want to make soup. I could use a change for
lunches next week. I love lentil soup, split pea soup, and beef
& barley soup.

I'm craving clam chowder with crusty bread. I've never made clam
chowder but I'm going to see if there's a simple recipe online.

I made this for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was
really easy, and came out AMAZING!

My only comment - if you really like clams, I'd add maybe
another can of clams and juice, because it didn't have quite as
much clam flavor as I'd like. But besides that, it was great.

Thanks! It's nice getting recommendations instead of trying an
unknown recipe.
Can't wait to make it on a nice cold day.

I discovered this soup last winter and have made it umpteen
times. So yummy.
