       The only people I can think of off the top of my head who I know
       that consistently had their children write thank you notes for
       gifts is my oldest brother and his wife (one niece and one
       nephew there), so it's rare these days. My sister-in-law is big
       on personal notes, she writes notes in birthday cards and so on.
       Their daughter (my niece) is an adult now and still writes thank
       you notes to people, I don't think her brother does anymore but
       I'm not entirely sure.
