We cannot let these important observances go by without comment.
Let us remember the sacrifices our relatives made and are
making to help preserve our way of life.

I was very lucky to be part of our little Legion's Remembrance
Day ceremony today. Limited to 25 Legion members, only. I was
honoured to recite 'In Flander's Fields'. They live streamed
the ceremony on Facebook on the community page and there were
about 40 who watched it live and over 200 who have seen it since
       then.
My grandfather served as a medic overseas in WWI and here in
country in WWII; our community is close to a Canadian Forces
Base and we have many serving and retired veterans as members.
       It really brings it home.

This was the first Veterans' Day without DH's Grandpa. He served
during the Korean War. It was wonderful to see his daughters
post so many nice pictures of Grandpa in his uniform.
