it seems like a bad time to start selling when many other people
       are losing their jobs.

       I was thinking that, myself.

a lot of MLMs are aggressively recruiting the newly unemployed
by arguing you can’t be fired from your ‘own business’. The
fact that it isn’t your own business and most people are cutting
back on spending is glossed over.

I don’t deal with MLMs or the people shilling for them. They
get told I’m permanently uninterested and if they approach the
topic again they get blocked, family or not.

My niece just signed up for one of those "intimate" MLMs, in the
middle of a pandemic. I've been a financial buffer for her from
time to time, and I'm disappointed for her, and a little
       worried.
I've become a major anti-fan of the idea that your
friends/relatives/contacts should somehow become your customers.
I guess if I liked the stuff, I'd be happy to buy it, but most
of the times I don't have any interest.
There no way most people--and certainly not my niece--have a
large enough circle of acquaintances that they can make a
       sustainable business out of it.

Light at the end of the tunnel, Toots: last week, I was talking
with Niece because extra product arrived at my address with her
name on it. Seems that because I bought stuff during a time
when elephants were in the House of Conjunctiitis and the
Giraffes were aligning with the Marmosets of Thunder, I got an
extra bottle of body butter plus some things I didn't ask for
but will use anyway. (Hey, my explanation makes even more sense
than the one she gave me which had to do with all the bonuses I
earned trying not to spend much money.
Anyway, I asked how sales were going and she said "Oh, I'm
taking a break. I don't know if I will go back to it."
She'd only been at it for like what--not quite a month?
       So there is hope.
I will say that I am glad to have received a second tub of the
body lotion or whatever it is. Body wash and body lotion. The
stuff is so rich that I only need a little and without even
using the lotion, my dry skin itch has calmed down in a way most
oatmeal and shea butter preps haven't achieved. Hopefully, I
will make it last for years!

Be careful that you weren't set up on a monthly
auto-bill/auto-ship subscription. A lot of these groups work
       that way.
