Thanks for the update. I was hoping it wasn’t as big a thing as
you feared, but it was sweet of you to worry about his feelings.

This is a wonderful update! I am sure that this woman feels like
she did something helpful and that the cancer charity will find
the perfect home for it and maybe even earn find some extra
cash. I hope that you find just the right artwork for your
       office!!!

That’s such a good update! And glad he knew where to draw the
       line with the wigs!

So last weekend I spoke to BeagleDaddy about the painting. He
actually asked if I really liked it because I hadn't told anyone
else about it. I told him I found the thought behind it to be
very sweet, but the painting itself wasn't my taste.
Turns out the woman who painted it volunteered to make something
and he felt he couldn't turn her down (he tends to do this when
someone offers). I recommended he ask me if I want something
rather than agreeing to have someone do a painting to be sure it
is something I want. She is also a cancer survivor and offered
to give him her used wigs for me to use (ew!). Thankfully, he
turned those down (I have two really nice wigs that look good on
       me).
He suggested I give it to a cancer charity and I think that's
       what I'll do.
       Thanks for your help!

Or if they get really pushy, then maybe he can tell you that
when he's giving you the stuff.

I can’t wrap my head around why someone would think anyone would
want their old wigs. Isn’t that like giving someone their used
       underwear?

Wigs are expensive, can be washed, and not everyone would be
grossed out by getting hand me down wigs. If you think about
it, used shoes are sold in a lot of thrift stores- and is that
       really any better?

I don't think it would bother me, either. I do not think that
there is anything wrong with the offer. But it's also ok that
BeagleMommy feels differently than I do.

I wouldn't be upset at used underwear, if there were a genuine,
unusual need (like maternity bras, perhaps, or maternity
panties). And if they were in good condition.
Underwear can be washed and sanitized. Any ickiness will then be
       psycological, not scientific.
After all, we wear used hospital gowns!

HenrysMom, don't ever going into the acting biz. Trust me, wigs
don't get thrown out at the end of a production! They're washed,
re-styled and reused by different actors as long as they are fit
       for use.
