I can only speak for myself, but I have naturally wavy, nearly
curly hair. I NEVER allow the hairdresser to blow dry my hair
because a skilled stylist can hide a lot of hair cutting
mistakes that way and 2. I really need to see how it will dry
naturally because honestly I'm lazy and NEVER blow dry my hair
(unless it's below freezing and that doesn't happen very often
in central Florida).
Everyone's hair is different and the first stylist should have
taken your word on your hair not shortening as it dries.
Personally, I have the opposite problem...I get an inch cut off
and my hair is suddenly 3-4 inches shorter...2 inches=4-6 inches
shorter. It's maddening. Plus, it's really difficult not to get
the dreaded triangle head hair.
I'm glad you got it straightened out!

I'm glad it got corrected and you're happy with the results!
My hair is more like Dazi's, except for my stick straight bangs,
so it can be a sketch comedy routine trying to get more off the
bangs when they can accurately see how much the back will
shrink.
