       Sounds like it's all resolved and OP decided to host. However, I
       just wanted to chime in that I'd have no problem being invited
       to such an event as long as it's a reasonably priced menu.  On
       similar invitations I've received, it's literally been referred
       to as a no host dinner.  To me, it's simply an optional
       opportunity to spend more time with friends and family without
       burdening the wedding party with yet more expenses.
