When you see coworkers doing something so wrong right in front o
f you.

I am still in shock. I was asking a coworker for help, in the
middle of her helping me, she said hang on while I help
"another" coworker with something. What she did was log that
coworker in for the day. The other coworker finally showed up
about 20 minutes later.
So, she logged in a worker that was late to work. I am so
shocked she did it!

Oh no. I'm sorry, but I'd so report that. That is theft. The
person who wasn't there was stealing company time and the person
helping them is an accomplice. This is the only time you've
witnessed it, but that doesn't mean it's the only time it's
happened.
I worked HR for many years. It's been my personal experience
that people who will steal company time have no problem doing
other unsavory things in the workplace as well.

The places I've worked, that is a fireable offense for both
parties involved. Not sure how the company would look on others
who are aware of such actions and yet don't disclose the
information.

That’s something to report. I’ve fired people for doing it and
would not think well of an employee who knew. It said nothing.

What a horrible position to be put in. I have to say that my
decision about whether to report the once incident would be
based on my opinion of the co-workers.
If the late one is not that great of an employee and the other
one is the "nice co-worker" who has a hard time telling others
no, I'd probably say something to her or him like "It really
bothered me that you signed in Shelly right in front of me. It
makes me feel like an accomplice to her unethical actions.
Please don't let me see that again, or I will feel the need to
report it."

I hate to be a tattletale, but feel I have no choice. I'm not
going to lose my job because of someone else. I wish I hadn't
seen it, but I did. And I feel terrible.

There is just so much wrong doing with both of them. Talking on
their phones, which we aren't even allowed to have our phones
out. Muting their phones to call a customer a dumbass, leaned
back in their chair with feet on the desk. applying makeup
spraying perfume, and much worse.

I've been the person who's had to fire them all. Many places
have a zero tolerance policy on this type of thing. If I found
out another employee knew and didn't report, they got fired
right along with the other two.

That is exactly my thought. Knowing them, if they got caught on
their own, they would not hesitate to say I say her do it.
