I am leaving and want you to come with me

We have been without a room controller for months and a
leaderless room becomes stagnant. I am as fond of Arnvid as
anyone else, but for the well being of myself and those I hold
dear, I say it is time to take our destinies in hand and either
make a new home or choose an established home to migrate to.
The reason this is in the ooc section is that this decision is
about where you want to role play and further your character on
Gor. I have discussed this with a couple of people in the home
and I personally have come to a fork in the road leaving me with
two decisions which I want you all to make with me.
Option one, We have been invited to migrate to Sulport a well
run Gorean home with very strong leadership and established
avenues of role play we could all be inserted into quite
seamlessly. I myself think that this would be a good choice with
the least amount of drama, but it is not the only choice.
Option two, We create our own home which would be the Isle of
Skjern, it would be controlled by Myself and Krul. This would be
a home that would be starting from scratch and hopefully with
many if not all of you as members of the home, but will
undoubtedly include the drama and pains that come with growing a
home from scratch which we have done on more than one occasion
in our many years on Gor.
I leave this to your vote and will let majority rule, but this
is not about being disloyal to Arnvid no matter how some may
wish to twist it, this is about being realistic and moving
forward after more than a quarter of a year of floundering and
trying to hold things together with no real leadership available
because there is no room controller and although we love Arnvid,
can only wait so long before things start to fall apart. I know
with many this will not be a popular post, but it is nonetheless
from my heart and made with much contemplation with more than
just myself and my woman in mind.

When I came to the Axe there was no leader, it was glaringly
obvious that it was debilitating, causing drama that should
never have existed in a Gorean home.
I was welcomed with open arms by those that spent time in the
home striving to make it work, trying to shore up the leaks as
people left for various reasons, yet they treated me like a
brother a part of the family without any reservations.
Being offered a membership, and pledging to the home meant so
much to me. I could never abandon those that sought me as a
brother, those that I pledged to honour and protect, and now
that there is a threat of the home closing I still will not
abandon any of you.
Dwildor and I have both discussed this in length and despite how
we feel our responsibilities are with you regardless of what you
decide we will sacrifice our own preferences for the greater
good of the home.
I stand by Dwildor on this issue and whatever the decision is I
will follow suite.

I am sorry things have come to this, but I understand why it is
necessary.
Obviously, I will go where you decide is best Dwildor. Whether
it is Sulport or the new room, it does not matter to me.

You all would be welcome to come and visit Hunjer and see if
you like it.
We have a wonderful RC and stick to the books(though not book
thumpers) and its in the North.

I use to be of this home and have found Hunjer to be very
peaceful. I Miss Arnvid who is my blood brother in RP and I do
hope he is alright.

Thanks for the invite Disturbia, it would be really nice to know
from your leader that this invitation is extended.
I want my people to decide where they feel most comfortable
going, but we are looking for Gor so it is good to know your
home is book strong. Helps weed out some attitudes.
So People, I suppose Hunjer would be a third option since it has
been presented. All is up for discussion and nobody is being
forced into anything. The one thing to keep in mind is that I do
indeed plan to leave regardless of what option is selected. I
hope you all see reason and understand that a ruderless
existence is not healthy nor is it prosperous.

am not sure if he will sign up for the board or not, but will

I can not guarantee that you would like Laura, my home is always
open to you should you choose to want to role play there. I
understand the wanting a room that has a leader that is present,
but at the same time, I would wonder and ask isn't there anyone
already here in your home that could and would step up as a
leader, and continue to build this room as Arnvid has? I mean
look at Sulport, when Volstagg had real time issues TyRen
stepped in to fill the shoes, so to speak.
It just seems to me that you have a good home that works for
you, so why move when you can continue to work at rebuilding it
up, I'm almost sure the gor team would work with you on this
issue, and then there is the chance that Arnvid will be back
tomorrow (okay I'm the optimist here).
Just my two cents, and again as I said Laura is open to any and
all that wish to role play there.

As I have spoken to Both Krul and Lei about this change/move..
I unnderstand your decission Dwildor..
You were kind to me .. took me back when I had a derailing and
no need to say that I would follow My Companion to the end of
the world and back..
it is time to make a fresh start..
My choice would be to begin a new room.. this so we can have the
control of controlling in our hand... our rules.. our dramafree
zone...
However I do hope that Arnvid will be back in GREAT health...
Cause I still like the Man .... I do care for Him...

So I am taking the options to a simpler choice as of now.
We are going to create the Isle of Skjern and build a new home
with a fresh start. You are welcome if you wish to come and be
Gorean in all things. It will not be a field trip to lala land
where certain attitudes are allowed to go unchecked, but dealt
with in a manner according to Gor.
Krul has agreed to work with me as co-controller of the room so
there should always be one of us able to deal with an issue as a
team.
we will hold Honor, Family and good role play in the highest of
our Home ideology
