against the rough hew wood of the front doors to the great hall
shoves them away from me flinging the doors open, then stepping
through allowing the doors to close behind me as I pause
allowing my eyes to adjust to the gloom of the interior, I stood
there for a few ehn scanning the hall for a place to be seated
at the long table. I peered into the shadows and into the darker
recesses of the hall ensuring that there could be no surprises
awaiting me there.

hearth and with that I could feel the warmth returning to my
extremities. I crouched there on my haunches without a second
glance at the girl beside me. My eyes were steel grey and
although still dressed in the leather tunic and leather breeches
and boots the fur cloak still wrapped about my shoulders I was
still cold. Winter was coming!.....the small bond had spoken
offering warm kalana and with the darkest of looks I turned to
this slip of a slave and whispered......."greetings girl, you
are eager to please yet you know not how.....kalana is either
white or red....if white it is to be kept chilled. If red it
must be at ambient temperature that is room temperature. I
personally prefer a red kalana and it has to always be at
ambient temperature....a shadowed smile that did not show in my
eyes ghosted my features barely noticeable to but a few that
knew me was offered to you as those steel greys drank you in

confidence that to maya was awe inspiring. Her emotions elevated
as she moves to the kitchen to do your bidding

is within the Kitchen where many different types of food were
being cooked and mead's and other drinks were warmed.
says to steel is the coinage of : reaching the kitchen, hidden
from view she takes a huge deep breath to pull herself together
after all it was just a bowl of water it meant nothing (even as
she thought that she knew it a lie). carefuly with painful
attention to detail she washes and dries her hand then a simple
wooden bowl inspected with grim determination then cleaned then
filled with cool spring water. held nay craddled before her in
both hands she returns to the hall

watching those tongues leaping and devouring all that it could
consume. I glanced at the dark haired pani girl as she movbed
away with obedience, my eyes drawn to her tiny ass as it swayed
in her natural short stepping walk. I looked for an ehn or two
longer than I should have thinking how good she looked and how
tiny she was. My eyes were drawn back to the flames as I
squatted on my haunches watching the flames leap while I awaited
the pani girl to bring the water.

linger in its divine enveloping compforting warmth. I heard your
soft words from behind my left and turning steel greys looked at
you inclining my head in acknowledgement........ I looked

all I would say. I took the bowl with my left hand lifting it to
my lips and sipping slowly then drinking deeply as I drained the
bowl. Offering the bowl back to the pani girl and again in a low
tone whispered....."take the bowl back and return to my side and
kneel not stand just behind and to the left of me...harta now!

that sprang forth from the heart not waiting for the girls
answer, I was of the warriors, a Gorean man that should not
waste time on the matters or desires of a slave. I considered
what to do....should I maintain my weapons, or see to a kaiila?
That big black in the stables needed to be taken for a good run.
It needed to feel the knees of its Master steering it as it ran.
Yes the matters of kaiila was paramount and held priority over
that of the slave. I would use her when and where ever I wanted
and whether she wished or desired it mattered not, only that she
was pleasing was what mattered. With that thought I stood then
turned striding away from the hearth heading towards the doors
of the hall, shoving them open and slipping out and into the
streets of the outpost.
