see what the other scribes are using. They always have an
assortment of new inks and pens to look at. The library near the
fair is also a special treat for me too. I think Amira handled
herself exceptionally well at the fair. I really didn't see her
buy much at all, but.... I don't think all her trunks have been
delivered yet. So you never know what she really got. ~smiles~

my time at the fair..perhaps you had no idea how I could talk
the ears off of a bosk..I laughed softly and took a deep
breath..on letting it out I let go of my time at the fair.."
Well on arrival iot was the best..there was no sea sickness of
anyone and there was doubt that any one was hurt..so that was
good..and then of course there was the getting to know everyone
time.and that was..eh..ok..and and then!..it was shopping till I
absolutely dropped..I shopped every day and as a matter of fact
I shopped up till the time the ship was about to pull from the
dock...and I must say I had to purchase 4 more trunks to have
all my things brought home...." I stopped to get some air..then
let it out and went on.." Oh and by the way Krul...I have
something for you"..I grinned as I went to my fathers office and
returned with a wrapped package ...setting it down on the table
you sat at.."There you go..it is what you requested if I should
see one..one a talisman, a gold symbol of a sandsleen with a
scimitar in its mouth..I hope you like it"

says to steel is the coinage of : Oh, there are always a lot of
new things to use in the trade. But, I tend to stick with what I
have to use. Some tools are fun to consider, but not really very
practical. I did find some new leather stamps with some unique
markings. I use those when I bind manuscripts and I am always on
the lookout for unusual designs to use. These have the shape of
a sword but also have a shield in the design as well. I think
they will be useful for certain types of manuscripts.

in your voice, observing the sparkle in your eyes enjoying just
having the two of you back in the hall until you mentioned a
gift, raising a brow as I watched you rush off and return with
the package, then you mentioned it and the icy tentacles of
concern and trouble began to creep down my spine along with the
hairs on the back of my neck beginning to tingle as you places
the package before me. I watched the package then looked up at
you before reaching out to undo the wrapping to reveal the
talisman, that of a golden sandsleen with a scimitar in its
mouth. I merely sat and looking at it without inspecting it,
then steel blue eyes darkening snap up looking at you
”where did you get this talisman Amira, tell me leave nothing
out?”
the concern in my voice was evident, the sombre tone serious and
almost a whisper

looked at you..so excited that I was able to do this..but
something bothered me..the look in your eyes was a scary
look..it was a cold and hard..my hands were tremblng a bit..and
then I decided it was not my doing to make the man look so
serious..I took a deep breath " Very well Sir"..I was at the
fair..one day I decided to walk to the end of the limits where
the fair had been set about..and at the very last tent was a bit
different than most..but it drew me in just the same..I walked
passed the flaps..and there stood a small man..a bit of a greedy
look..but he was nice to me afterall..and with the huge smile
made him kind as well..So I asked him if there was a chance I
could purchase a special gift for someone ..and he shrugged his
small shoulders to me..and took me aside..we chatted
some...coming to find out he was a tailsmen...from Tahari ..he
was dressed in robes .a stripped djelleba with a kaffiyeh on his
head, he was dark tanned with a black beard...his nice smile
changed as his eyes were dark and peiercing now and he also
asked many questions as to why I wanted this piece.and once he
knew what I was looking for...he retreated to the back of the
tent and on his return..he handed me a a talisman..it has a gold
symbol of a sandsleen with a scimitar in its mouth.I was so
excited..I made the purchase..also ..I should tell you..he asked
who it was for..but..no worry..I did not say it was for anyone
he would know..” I looked at you..and had hoped it was something
you really did want..as it seemed it was not…I stood quiet now…

this piece I knew that it was no forgery, it was indeed the
original talisman, how did it get to the Sadar, who had taken it
there? There was but three of these pieces ever forged and
crafted from the finest gold in all Gor given to three of the
most trusted, to be valued and cherished with everything that
the owner held dear yet there it was before me. It was the one
piece that had been stolen so many years ago that had driven me
from my home, from my culture, from my roots.
this talisman had meant everything to me and with losing it I
had lost myself, I had been forced to move away from my home,
forsake my position and hide. I had fallen from grace from the
one true leader of all Gor, The Salt Ubar! I had searched
everywhere looking for the thief I had come to know as Abdul,
travelled north seeking a place to hide and change my identity,
where I could perhaps trap and find this thief, the one that had
stolen my life and smear my name.
it seemed that my plan had worked after many years and much
sacrifice I had managed to aquire my talisman back. Despite the
sacrifice and the patience of waiting all this time, I knew that
was the easy part. The worst was yet to come. I had to go back
and face the Salt Ubar, to hope that he would remember that I
was of his tribe, of his blood and have mercy upon me and if I
was lucky restore my titles and holdings. I had much to be
thankful for this sweet free woman that loved to shop. I’m sre
that Abdul did not suspect that a Free Woman of the North would
have anything to do with a kavarian tribesman of the
Tahari….after all they were worlds apart.
