       Northern Serves

       There are no specifc quotes I can think of that detail a
       northern serve, so the following information  is taken from bits
       of quotes and stories told in Marauders.
       Rarely does a bond kneel before her Master, one main reason for
       this, is there is little room in the hall with the longtables
       and such. Unlike the southern slave who must kneel and beg, a
       northern girl is given the freedom to lap and nestle with her
       Master. Either climbing to his lap or against His side. She may
       kiss and seduce him as she wishes. Though, in doing so, she also
       knows she may be shoved from him at any time, if he does not
       wish the wanton attentions of her at that moment.
       Bonds often sat upon the same benches as the Free beside their
       Jarls or the men they serve, laughing and enjoying the
       conversations and stories about. A bond knows when to interact
       and when to be silent, but in the hall they are always present,
       even listening in to the tactics of war, and the plans of
       another raid. It is unheard of for a slave to speak of this to
       anyone else at all, it is simply not her place, and most of it
       is not understood anyhow.
       In the private chambers or the furs, yes, she is expected to
       kneel and serve him however he wishes. It is also not uncommon
       for a bond to be thrown over a table in the midst of a busy hall
       and raped for all to see, the Free laughing and cheering the man
       on who takes her so boldly.
       At night, when the lamps are blown out, with the lower men
       surrounding the hall in their furs, the bonds drug along to the
       furs with the men, having been found pleasing and wanton in
       their service, are raped and taken at the male's wishes. Many
       cries are heard along with the yielding of bonds, as well as the
       whispers of Jarl to bond, in between the brazen sounds.
       The bonds chained to the log miserable in their station, having
       not been found pleasing enough or well trained enough to be
       taken with the men to their furs, lie there whimpering,
       pleading, helpless in their need.. and ignored.
