says to ALL: Was Early... I had woken and Got Myself dressed
ready to do a few different things to day.... I had received
message from Thresh all was well with Him... He was far on
hunting whales and would be home when time allowed...
She wore leathers and a tunic...she found These kirtles hard to
wear....She was a tall Lady 5foot eight in height she used a
Horn Bow and was a good shot.... But she had slackened off on
her practice of late....this would change She needed to get
sorted on this ...

to the Storage shed where she could sort out the items she
needed.... and it wasnt long and she found herself outside The
supply sheds.....
she moved inside and Messed about for a Moment tugging at the
small cart.... and pulling it out on to the Path....Then Moved
back inside to Gather up the small Harness That was made for The
verr to pull the cart

says to ALL: I then moved to the pens and lent against The rail
looking in sorting who I would use today to pull the wagon.... i
thought On My Man and How I missed Him....But quickly dismissed
That I had stuff to do and it needed doing today.....
I unlashed The hook that secured the gate and Moved in slow
Pulling the gate behind me and making sure it shut....last thing
I needed was ver all over the Post again.... then I moved over
to the Back wall removing the feed harness thingy and filled it
with some Grain...Not alot Just some....
the Buck moved Over to me nudging at my thigh thinking He was
all that and protecting his women... I chuckled and pushed back
against him... telling Him to shoo off... and That was never
going to Help

looking over the verr~ theyre all about the same size Mistress,
any of them could do it ~she noticed the runt then~ well, except
that one. ~she slipped inside, grabbing a length of rope that
was looped around the gate. stepping to the nearest verr she
made a slip knot and slipped it over the animals head. taking
the excess rope in one hand she slipped her other under the
rope, tugging on it. she knew the tightening of the rope if she
pulled on it would make the verr come but she didnt want to
control it through force so holding the loop she tugged, talking
softly to the animal and guiding it along with her. outside the
pen, she closed the gate, her hand moving back to the loop
around the verrs neck when it was closed~ this one should do

laffed as I moved out the gate with you both... the runt I
allowed out I knew it would follow... as I moved along to the
Path where The cart rested... I passed ayra the staff to hold as
I bent down Grabbing the Harness.....
mjoll... back it back soI can slip its legs in This....and as
you did I lowered the harness so the verrs front legs went in
the two holes then I pulled the strapping up too secure it over
iyts shoulders with buckles then reached back to the reins That
came from the waggon and secured those to the small Beast...
making sure it was secure.....
Now both of you get me a bale of Fresh hay and put in the
cart...."

bought the bale to the cart

started back for the next one~ dock work makes you deceptively
strong ~she smiled, reaching up and toppling the second bale as
she stepped back out of the way~

beautiful,... as I slowed some and watched as the little runt
ran over the fields skipping and jumping about like it was
walking on hot coles.....I tugged the rope again and the verr
pulled the cart more untill I stopped and removed the Harness
and reins so it too could run off and enjoy the sun.... I moved
to the cart and called you to help Me lift on e of the bales to
the ground....."why" because it has every right to live ..it is
only small...*s and Look at it It is Beautiful yes"?

down I then tugged out My dagger and cut the rope that was used
to keep them secure.. and rolled ot up knowing I would use it
when itb was done... then moved to the second bale and did the
same passing you the rope This time for you to roll.

and Then Nodded I will do the arms.... and with That I began to
tugg the Hay apart from the Bale and moulded it to form thick
long arms .. then gradded some of the leather strapping and
wound it round The hay to hold it secure

says to ALL: mjoll had gone to release the verr so they could
Graze....I remained making the bodies..... the both arms were
done and lay on the ground alongside me....mjoll had made the
legs...and tied the leather strapping tight round the straw to
keep them on shape and secure....she had left them on the ground
alongside the arms....
I muttered to my self as I tugged on the bale of straw....
making sure I had enough straw to build a head..... and rolled
it in to a ball...

says to ALL: I ran My hand Over my face... to wipe some of the
perspiration from My brow.. I had become lazy and truth I needed
to pick up my game some and do some More work...I had to
chuckle.... then rolled the body over... and began to pull the
old tunic of mine Over the frame... it was much fatter then Me..
but That didnt matter after all better the tunic stretched over
the hay....

says to ALL: I then took The Leathers there were a few holes In
them But that was good also as I stuffed the hay legs into the
leathers and pulled them up till the leathers were secure round
the body then laced them up....now the body took shape....i
rolled up the cuffs of the leathers ... and lent back some to
check it out...."what will I call you I muttered ".... then Took
the long rope.....
standing I moved to the tree to my right and began to swing the
rope then let it go... as it sailed up and hit the branch and
fell back down... I moaned slightly and gathered the rope again
and did the very same thing until the rope finally looped over
the Branch and fell to the ground
then I tied the rope round the chest of the target man and
secured it... then hoisted it up so It hung from the branch
swinging slow as I secured the rope to the trunk of the tree....
then Moved away to the cart and looked up... I had to smile It
was exactly where i had wanted it

is in or around Nyah's Longhouse within the Outpost
says to ALL: I gathered My Bow and placed it on the
bench....then My quiver that held 20 arrows.... and I rolled the
fur and tied the strapping round it making sure it was
secure..... attaching more leather strapping so The Furs could
be strapped to My back....
I then checked the arrows....and put them back in the
quiver....I had many things On My mind...wondering How long till
Thresh would come home...it had been so long and I was beginning
to Miss Him...bad...But i could manage That well enough....
I moved to gather some of Those Nasty pins and secured My hair
back as I had always done.... then gathered Up my fur strapping
it to My back and tiring the leather strapping it across my
chest....then my quiver...with That I picked up my bow and made
My way out of The Dwelling I stayed in...

says to ALL: She moved from the dwelling her thoughts again on
other things.... she pulled at the door so it closed...then
loced it with one of the many keys she wore on her belt.....
then turned and made her way along the path towards where she
had built the targets......
She worn brown leathers ...and an old tunic that she had owned
many a Years....it was worn looking but still had many a Years
left in it... it was rare she would pull on a kirtle ....She was
tuchuk by birth and found dresses rather restricting being a
Merchant she worked hard and was comfortable with herself....she
was far from one of those fancy City women....
she moved over The path her boots making scuff marks as she
grinned to herself...looking Over her shoulder ....then back to
the Path she traveled....her cape was made of furs of many
verr....sewn together to be thicker over her shoulder and
back....she still felt the cold...But she Loved The north and
The North was her home

says to ALL: She recalled the many a Raid that happened On
Hulneth and The days the Men of the Land returned to show the
goods they had taken.... and she recalled the Feasts when they
returned....It made her smile....She did Love Living On Hulneth
and One day she would return ...if time allowed her....
she stopped a moment and Listened to the sounds of The home....
she could hear the birds and the life That existed away from the
village ...she smiled and took in a deep Breath Inhaling that
sweet smell of fresh sounds....what a Good feeling to start the
day with....again she started to move off along That path
towards the herding area

says to ALL: she made her way over to the huge trees where her
targets hung and chuckled as she moved and sat on One of the
logs.... she had already placed a rock alongside the Log She
lent her bow against the trunk of the tree then Removed her
Quiver also leaning it against the tree...she was close enough
to grab both if Needed but for Now she was fine.... her fingers
Moved to the strapping that crossed her chest and she untied it
and removed the fur.... un rolling it and spreding it to the
Ground Neaw the log... then she moved to the log and sat...the
Rock now sat between her boots ...as she reached to her tunic
and pulled out the stone she had tucked in side....
She placed the small stone to the rock then reached for the
sleen knife she had sheathed to her belt and tugged it free
laying it to the rock before her.... tugging back her Hair from
her eyes she reached in to her tunic and pulled out a small vile
and placed it also on the rock... then took up the stone...her
fingers tracing the stone for a Moment as she smiled ....I took
up the Bota and Un corked it then poured The water slow over the
ruff side of the stone to start with placing the bota down and
then took up The blade from the rock and placed The blade flat
to the stone and angled it slightly ..with the blade set at the
perfect angle bringing the blade in to the stone..sweeping the
blade sideways as I work , this way the entire edge of My blade
will sharpen even applying moderate Pressure as I did This
....when the first stroke was done I then continued as if
slicing the stone

says to ALL: I held The blade up and looked it over then flipped
The blade to begin to sharpen the other side,,,,again doing this
maybe 6 times and checked it when done.... when I had done each
side of the blade making several alternating strokes- sharpening
one side and then sharpening the other successively. I then Lay
the blade to the rock in front of me... and took out My dagger
to begin to do the same....it was so quiet out here ...was nice
to feel Oneself and enjoy that time of solitude
