6'9" tall
360 pounds +or-
There is no taper of shoulders to waist here, there is no “V”
shape. I am the proverbial brick shithouse, thick top to bottom
conical helm with nose guard and chain mantle along the sides of
my face and neck
axe (right hand) with a single 10" bearded blade, 38" long
wooden handle wrapped with leather
my left hand holds a simple shield of Torvaldsland, 40" round
wood with iron boss and reinforcing ring around the edge
Panga, 16" blade, sheathed horizontally across the small of my
back, handle to the right
a few smaller blades here and there on my person
I step opposite you and settle in about 10 feet distant with my
weight evenly spread across both feet, knees flexed but not
crouching, the axe in my right hand is held high and back over
my right shoulder, my right foot is back at a 45 from my left,
presenting you with my left front quarter centred squarely
behind the shield
I nod ready to go

35” alar spatha in my right hand, fist above and in front of my
right shoulder with the tip of the sword pointed up and back.
Strapped to my left arm, a 36” wooden round shield wrapped in
steel trim held so rim went from below my nose to above my knees
centered between shoulders.
I glanced at you with icy blues and nodded my head from beneath
my northern helmet that covered the upper part of my noggin’
with rings to hang down the back of my head and neck
I stayed at 10’ away to get the fight started and stood squarely
to you awaiting you to close.

says to Thresh the Stampede | Ma: -I lunged in now to get my
left foot in at the 3’ distance margin from your own. The shield
extended out and thrust into towards your sword using the top
rim to push back towards your body at chest height while trying
to make use of the boss to crowd your arms.
-The axe having been cocked over my right shoulder
simultaneously leaves the rest and comes over my head with the
axe head over the left shoulder and over my own shield edge,
coming in an offside left to right (My POV) blow to try to
cleave into the right side of your neck/chest, slicing downwards
towards your left hip.

you brought your shield out towards my sword. my arm braced and
slammed against your shield, as the rim of my own lifted higher
then my head. tilting my upper rim back as I moved it up
creating a sort of roof like structure above me. head hidden
behind it so your axe will land on the shields face and not
mine.
I would step forward with my right foot closing to 2’ while at
the same time I swung my right fist down and out to my right,
swooping past out shields and curving back to my left towards
your leading left leg, below the knee, hoping that as I crowded
you with my shield against your own shield and axe, there would
be little you could do with 2’ between us

-Your sword and both of our shields up high there was little
surprise in a swing coming low from your power side and I react
swiftly maintaining my foot placement and our distance I simply
drop to a low crouch, right knee to the ground but still on my
left foot, and bring my left held shield swiftly down until its
lower edge touches the ground, anchored solidly to my side to
absorb the impact of your sword across the shield car
-My axe having swung from high left to low right is now well
placed to come back in a low level right to left swing just
below your knee level. My arm is extended to try and actually
get the axe head behind your leg, striking with the axe shaft
and hooking the bearded axe blade around behind your knee if you
try to pull the leg back

the two foot distance and I closed it with a step of my left
foot now, crowding your knelt form, I punched my left fist out
to my right, aimed to bring the rim of the shield against your
right forearm between wrist and elbow. If I were lucky, I would
break your arm, if I weren’t then at least I blocked your
attack.

attempt to pull up short, bending my right elbow to to get my
arm back in a bit, knuckles scraping face of your shield as my
axe slides along its edge and down to bury into the sand

Ok I can see you bringing your sheild up to pretty much lock his
sword in place will call that a clean manuever [br]as for your
attack from where his sword was positioned I really dont see
this working cause honestly you would be working against
yourself trying to cleave down into his left shoulder towards
his chest your left arm would stop your movement going down

sheild moving up clean [br] right out and left swing towards the
left leg .. ( with a 2' clearance I dont see this working ...
here is why... his right is going to be closer and more in the
way of your swing towards his left leg but will see how this

the sheild coming down to block the right to left swing .. clean
[br]the attack is clean even for just placement

right forearm between wrist and elbow. If I were lucky, I would
break your arm, if I weren’t then at least I blocked your
attack.
ok this one is a little difficult as his axe beard is behind
your left knee yet you moved your sheild from the left to the
right aimed to try and break his arm about the forearm area ..
while this may be viable it still wont stop a man from fighting
will call it a clean move but seeing how you didnt state you was
trying to get behind his sheild where his arm was located I cant
call the hit good ..

Mind you and I am rusty at this as well so if you wish you may
have it judged by another to see if they see the samethings I do
.. but I will judge it as how I see it thus far.
Just going to call it good here like I said I am rusty though I
can't see any of the attacks working well you are more than
welcome to have Arnvid judge it and for a better detail maybe
Talem the Rencer... but I have been out of the loop so long I
maybe not seeing something here ...
As for damages I am not going to call any nor am I going to
call a winner or loser here again I hope what I did see helps

Thanks for the input, will walk away from this knowing how
better to word things to make everything all that much clearer.
Thank you for taking a look at it, and if Truls is fine with it,
I wasn't looking for a win, the draw down the middle works for
me, we were mostly after a fight, and to knock some rust off.
which we did. Appreciate you taking the time to look it over.
Hope to get lots more fights on the go. See you in the sands! So
to speak.-lol-
