MAKING of TWO TARGETS

says to ALL: was just before dinner as I sat alone on the step
thinking on the day that had passed I waited on the thrall to
return from sorting other work, for i had some instructions for
him...The children were still playing in the open area across
from the building...and I watched them... playing with wooden
swords andTwo little girls sat playing with the small dolls....
another well she sulked laying looking to the stars probably
wondering where life would take her....after all she thought she
was a princess andthe others her servant.....I chuckled, my how
life deals strange ventures for us all....My finger traced my
lip as I thought again on myself and the strength I needed ....I
chuckled to myself I was not one to regret or think back.....as
I lifted my head and watched the creepy thrall move along the
path.."Mistress" he spoke .... and I answered him pointing to
the bottom step telling him to sit

says to ALL: "Ok ladd tonight while we sit here you will fill a
sack with straw for me...I need it packed tight....out in the
building "I pointed "is some sacks I need One...No two sacks and
a bail of straw....the straw is right at the back of the
building GO" the thrall stood and took off quick smart...I
chuckled thinking i maybe bluffed him into being scared..., the
ladd moved off and was gone for some time as I looked over
seeing Ol Josh stand behind one of the wee boys and explain a
few moves to Him it made me smile ol Josh had been with me all
this time....he was my family now *s....the other boy ran over
and grabbed ol Joshes legs as one of the girls with the dolls
jumped to grab the other leg and they all wrestled and laffed as
I watched chuckling to myself .. when they finally had Ol Josh
on the ground they all lay on him to keep him down

says to ALL: the ladd had been standing there watching me not
speaking as I watched the children...unaware of his return....I
turned slightly and saw him struggling with the bail of hay ...I
pointed for him to put it down...and he did as the sacks fell to
the ground....."ok were going to fill these sacks you that one"
I pointed " and me this one ..' as i bent and pulled the sack
over....I reached to the dagger on my belt and released it from
its sheath and slit the ropes that held the hay in its
bundle....then returned it to the sheath and began to pull at
the hay filling the sack...."come on come on or you will loose
ya fingers" I smiled as I spoke to him....he smiled and did the
stuffing real fast

says to ALL: I tugged at the hay and pushed it in the sack firm
with each push....."how long have you been here ladd" I asked
"forever Mistress as long as I stay away from the Master of the
Post I am safe...he kills thralls ...so I need to keep my mind
alert and work hard....' I smiled "aye well best you do then...I
have plenty of work to be done here if you need some time
filled...I hear he is about all the time now so best ya work ya
butt off hey *s" he nodded "yes I shall Mistress" as he then
stood and pushed the filling firmer in to the sack....

Is within or around the dwelling of Nyah
says to ALL: the boy then filled some more and stomped his foot
in it as I stood and moved over holding the bag open for him as
he stomped harder....then I pulled it laying it to the ground
and shaping it so it could be used as my target.....I then
pointed to the other as I moved away and inside ....to My desk
tugging out the draws and searching each ruffling the papers and
stuff till I found what I was looking for...the grabbed some
thin rope and moved out...I had Thads needle and rope to sew the
top of the bag ...and as I sat on the step I pulled the bag so
it rested on my leg and I began to secure the top with small
stitches

PRIVATELY whispers to || Nyah Coultrain ||Bond: :.... as I
finished the sewing I secured it making sure it was tied off
well.... then laid it to the ground as the ladd continued with
the other.....he pushed it over to me to finish off and I did
sewing it across the opening then securing it tight.....Cutting
the rope I rolled it over and stood stomping the get a good
shape in the sack....."well done ladd" was all I said as I moved
inside and put my bone needle back in the draws.....then moved
out to the thtrall.."ok they can go inside tomorrow we will hang
them *s...." he nodded and rolled them inside

says to ALL: after all That work I moved off along the pathway
thinking on a few things.... well things That drove me crazy
when I did think on them..... as I shook My head and thought How
crazy some Women were... meaning me of course

In or around the Animal Pens of various animals
says to ALL: I would have the target placed out on a trees just
before heading to the wooded area....I had spoken to Arnvid
earlier re a target so was sure I would be fine doing so and
could inform him of the Location when I next spoke to him....he
was rather busy with his Guests.. I should dress more like a FW
not a trader....But just smiled Knowing who I was anyways and
kirtles and dresses just didn't match with me I was used to
being mistaken for a stable boy for all these years....,But for
now I/Me was going to have to do....one of the bonds had
prepared a picnic ....as I headed down to the stables to get my
small Cart I moved along the path slow ...thinking about the day
to come,, as I approached the stables I moved inside and opened
the door to the small storage shed tugging out my cart and
pulling it out to the path....then took the small bridle and
ropes and moved to the animal pens leaving that cart there till
I came back

In or around the Animal Pens of various animals
says to ALL: I stopped at the pens and opened the smaller gate
that led me in to the small grassed area where my verr
grazed......I closed the gate and just stood there clapping my
hands....I chuckled when nelly turned she stood looking at me
for a moment and it was as if the coin dropped and she ran to me
almost excited to see me ....if verr got excited that is.....she
had been hand raised by me back on Hulneth ...but remained here
where she was safe as I travel led ...I bent down to pet her as
she bucked at me soft yet with a love she held for me......i
slipped the small bridle and ropes over her front legs so they
crossed her chest so she could pull my cart....."well Ol gal you
remember theses *s" as I led her from the grounds out to the
path....

In or around the Animal Pens of various animals
says to ALL: I attached the ropes to the small cart and secured
it for nelly to pull for me then led her back to my Dwelling to
get the children....they were sitting on the steps waiting one
was throwing stones in the air then dodging them to improve her
skills she thought.....for what I was not so sure....I laffed
watching them both two totally different children.....I stopped
and passed the lass with the stones the ropes to the cart and
lifted the other in to the cart as she moaned on her dress
getting dirty I placed a small fur for her to sit on....Ok to
the storage building and off we went to get the Targets

Is in or near one of the many Storage Buildings
says to ALL: when we arrived I opened the door and went in
tugging the targets outside,,,,,then lifting the small girl and
her fur out I lifted the sack targets back into the cart.....one
on top of the other and then her fur and her on top....."now go
slow Girl I dont want ya sister hurt understand " she smiled and
nodded "yes Lady Nyah ' were her words as we then moved along
the path towards where ol Josh would meet us with the other
children,

Along the banks of the river
says to ALL: there was a fresh chill in the morning air...but I
liked that cold buzz my lungs got when You breathed in.....I
laffed listening to the little ones singing and watched only
imagining what was going through the other childs mind after all
she was going to be an Outlaw when she grew up......we soon left
the path and made it to the open grassed area...as the verr
nelly began to think on eating the grasses ...as i lifted her
chin some she continued along in the direction the girl pulled
her....I looked up ahead and saw Ol Josh kicking some thing
round the grass and the boys playing with him as we got closer
the boys stopped waving as if telling us where they were I had
to laff it was open grazing area no other about but this small
gathering .... we arrived in the ares where Ol Josh and the boys
were and I lifted the lass out so she could also play laying her
fur to the grass then Un tied nelly from the cart but tethered
her on the rope so she could graze while we enjoyed the
day.....the Targets remained in the cart for now as Josh and
boys just sat with me telling me how they won and they cheated
they were only small and the others were to big ...blah blah as
kids say *s... (( Greetings Dis *s ))

Valleys and Herding Areas
says to ALL: Ol Josh finished playing with the children and
moved over sitting down on the grass with Us....as I looked over
to the trees that lined the area..."I dunno Josh which would you
choose I cant have it to far back in the forest it will have to
be one of those trees that are more out in the field some.....to
many shadows will make a false setting for the target .....so i
am thinking" as I pointed over "it will have to be one of those
few....." he looked over and nodded....."yes I have to agree Ny"

Is outside the outpost and moving across or at one of the many
Valleys and Herding Areas
says to || Nyah Coultrain ||Bond: We both stood as the children
ate the food and we walked off to look over the trees and choose
a couple ....making sure the distance between was enough and
maybe having the Shadow fall different to each tree so if one
was no good at a certain time of the day the other could be
used.....I moved over and stood under the tree....."What do you
think Josh" I called he picked up a small rock and threw it
hitting the branches above....."PERFECT" he called out with that
we moved back to the children and Ol Josh took one of the
targets from the cart as I pulled out the hook and rope and we
both moved on over I twisted the rope loose round my arm
.....and moved ahead of Josh.....pointing to the tree....then
stepping out the distance and called out ....Ok hold it up Josh"
as josh held the Target...."HIGHER ....MUCH HIGHER" I called as
he moved it and then marked the spot with His Axe....I moved on
over and helped him and when He got the target up he gripped the
rope from My wrist and began to tie the target ....securing it
to the tree....then attached the hook to the rope and threw it
up and over a branch ....again securing the target from the
top.....he tied it off and then wiggled it some we both stood
back and admired our work.....

Is outside the outpost and moving across or at one of the many

says to ALL: :.... It didn't take long and we were at the next
tree.....Ol Josh passed Me the hook and rope and I then threw it
over the branch ...I swung the hook and threw the hook Up and
over the branch ....as Ol Josh stepped back so it didn't hit him
... He then attached the target to the rope Tugging the target
up as I called out when the height was right,,,,he once again
secured the second target to the tree with My help.....and then
It was done...I was Grateful and thanked Him as We moved over to
get The verr and cart sorted so we could go back to the camp
before it got to late.... the cart was connected to nelly and
the smaller girl sat on her fur in the back and off we all went
I pulled the cart as the other three children ran on home as ol
Josh and I strolled back to camp the girl singing some of her
new songs someone in the Markets had been teaching her.....
