AF Moderator Recruitments!
The last recruitment was pretty bad and you can't elaborate
everything.
So I decided to open a new one!
Questions:
1) What does a moderator do?
2) Make up a situation. What would you do as a moderator?
3) Look at all terms and say what can a moderator do with them.
4) How long have you been on this forum?
5) Do you have any experience with moderating? [Optional]
Terms that you want to know:
-Moderator panel
-Ban
-Warn
-Moderator log
All who have been denied still have to wait till the next
application. You can ask for help from moderators but nothing
that you can like just ask a moderator for the whole app and
then just Paste it. Moderators who fill apps for them will be
automaticly demoted to Grunts and the recruit will have to wait
till the new recruitment opens or he must spend a month in PoW.
The accepted members will be promoted to "Office Employee".
Helpers:
-Spaceface2
-Eimonn
From now on, you have to apply for the helper position, the
current helpers are 2 first accepted moderators.
How to apply for helper?
-You must be Office Employee+ to apply for a helper. You have
to PM me and I will PM you back a test. If I see that you are
worthy you are going to be accepted and be added on the helper
list.
---------------------------------------------------------
You have to wait only 24hrs to re-apply! =D
Post your applications bellow.

All moderators have to pass this test. I will not take out your
rank now, I want to see your apps.

A moderator can view the mod panel, and in the mod panel, there
is the moderation log, the watch list, and the warning log,
which shows every warning on this site. They can also view the
administration panel, but all they can do is view and change
ranks. They can also (obviously) warn other members,
promote/demote members, and modify, delete, and sticky topics.
Say a troll was invading the site and was spamming, bypassing,
and insulting other members. I would give him a +20 warning. If
he continues, he will be in Grunt. If he STILL does it, he will
spend two weeks in PoW. If he does continue, I would increase
his warning level up to where he can't post. I can't ban other
users.
These are the terms:
Moderator panel: a place for moderators to view logs like the
moderation log, the watch list, and warning log.
Ban - A punishment that can only be issued by the admin. It can
stop the user from logging in, or stop the user from posting.
Warn - A warning issued by mods. As a user gets warned, their
warning level increases.
Moderator log - A log that records every action on the forum
I have been on this forum for 2 months now. I was actually the
first person to join other than Flyzer.
I have experience with moderation because I have my own forum
and I have been a mod for over a month.
That's all and have a good day!

Okay then, you passed. I didn't know that you can view the admin
panel, lol. I will delete that from Lieutenant, because Generals
should be able to make new ranks, etc.

Hey there, it's Eim and here is my Moderator Application.
1) A moderator helps keep a forum in order. Their powers
include:
Being able to see the Moderation Panel
The Moderation Panel is the place where they have all the kit
and tools to keep the forums in order. Here are some things you
see in the Moderation Panel.
- Warning log- Here you can see all warnings that have been
given out recently. You can see the username of the user who
issued the warning, the recipient, the time the warning was
given out, the reason for the warning and the the points
increased or decreased.
- Moderation log- On here you can see all the different actions
have been performed recently (stickying a thread, deleting a
post, etc.)
- Watched Members list- Here you can see the username and
details of any members you have added to the Moderator's watch
list (having a warning level of 10% or more)
Banning and Warning Users
Well, this much is obvious.
- Warn- if a member does something against the rules that is
only mildly bad, you give them a warning. However, if they
repeat the action again, they are either banned or their warning
level is increased. When you increase a user's warning level,
depending on the percentage, there will be different
consequences. If the warning level is 10% or more, they will be
added to the moderator watch list. If the level is 35% or more,
all their post will have to be verified by a moderator before
they can be seen. Finally, if the level is 60% or more, they
lose the ability to post.
- Ban- As I said before, if a user commits the same offence or
commits many offences after being warned, there is a high chance
they will be banned. If a user is banned, they can enter their
account but cannot do anything.
- IP Ban- Moderators usually use IP Bans as a last resort. They
normally do this when a user has evaded their ban many times. If
a user is IP Banned, they cannot even enter the site or their
account. A message comes up saying something like:
"Sorry [username]! You have been banned from this site.
[reason here]
Ban expires on [date]at [time]".
2) Well, say a user bypassed in a thread. At first, I would warn
them, putting their warning level up to 10-20%. If they repeat,
I would give them a final warning, putting their level up to
30%. If they do it again, I would ban them. If they evade, I
would IP ban them.
3) Look at Question 1.
4) I have been on this forum since 22/09/2014.
5) Yes, I have had previous moderation experience on other
forums.
I have tried my best and I hope you will accept me!
