       The war in Eastern Europe cannot hide the fact that the
       conflict for hegemony in the future world order between the
       United States and China will continue to be the focus of US
       foreign policy. For some time now we have been seeing the
       erosion of the rules and norms of international politics and a
       return to geopolitics and classical power politics, be it in the
       Indo-Pacific, the Middle East, the African continent or Eastern
       Europe.

       serious attack on the liberal,
       rules-based world order recorded to date. It is evident that we
       are in a transition phase towards a new global power structure.
       We still do not know with certainty what the future world order
       will be like, but if we look in detail at the two votes on
       Russia's invasion of Ukraine held on March 2 and 24 at the
       United Nations (UN) General Assembly, we would already have a
       clue.

       In both resolutions, an overwhelming majority of Member States
       voted to condemn Russia (141 and 140). Only five states voted
       against the conviction: Belarus, Eritrea, North Korea, Russia
