       Promotion has been ratified then.
       Looking at the quality of the league Ashford are entering, the
       new management shall need to invest in players this summer if
       they want to be better than a mid-table side.

       We will see.
       My view is that that they will be very close to winning it.
       If the off field problems are now dead and buried the team is
       good enough to compete at the top end of that Division.

       Totally agree, recently promoted teams (Whyteleafe, Phoenix and
       GB) have all been able to compete comfortably without
       significant playing changes. I'm sure there'll be changes,
       however there's not that much difference between the two
       league's. Future is bright...

       Having watched extended highlights of the Isthmian South
       playoffs, I stand by my original point - Ashford cannot stand
       pat if they wish to be a challenger.
       The previously promoted teams may not have made wholesale
       changes but they did bring in markedly better players. Greenwich
       Borough are vastly better than the team we last saw.
       There are certainly weaknesses in the first eleven and the squad
       that require addressing. Hopefully Mr Lye can step up to the
       plate and deliver once more.
