More waffle from DC's press officer. Wrong about Ashford FC -
they were not kicked out of Homelands - they left of their own
accord.
DC is not the hero of the season. That title goes to Derek
Pestridge and D & D Autos. Without their money Ashford United
would have folded.

Waffle? Facts you mean! Ashford FC are a joke that a certain
company helped to set up and payed certain people to run in the
hope it would help to demise AUFC.
And I said Derek is 100% behind Don. Next time you see Derek
you ask him about his thoughts on Don and why he's helped out so
much.
As for the scefl, you wouldn't believe just how much they have
fined AUFC over just this season alone, fined for ridiculous
things that smaller clubs get let off!!!
Hmm press officer.... Now there's an idea!
I don't deny I support Don, as I do Denise, Derek and Margaret
and in fact anyone that helps this club to survive.
I support them purely out of knowing what they've all been
through and sacrificed for the club.
I'll go on supporting them in anyway I can, including
volunteering at the ground in my spare time and defending them
all on here.
The four of them are determined to take AUFC forward, I pointed
out Don isn't going anywhere, like it or lump it as they say.
I saw him today at the ground and walked around with him talking
over all the things he'd like to do in the close season, some
big tasks, some small, but rest assured you'll see lots of
changes come next season.

Ashford fined for things that smaller clubs have been let off
from you say.
Can you give some examples of this because i for one have no
idea what you are referring to.

Let me lift the lid and put the avid readers of this forum with
regard Ashford Football Club and Ashford United Football Club
Ltd correctly up to date .
Facts are the Ashford Football Club was set up in 2016 .It was
the old aufc reserves team of 2015.It was not wanted by Don and
co, so the main people involved at the creation were Steve
Rollings and Stephane Ollier who went to the Kent Football
association and the Kent league as to what path they could
follow to set up a new club.
The FA ,NOT the founding members selected the name of Ashford
Football Club and the name was ratified and accepted by both
governing bodies namely The FA under their local KCFA
representation and the Kent County Football League. It was not
and is still not a club formed to oust Ashford United. Any
thoughts to this end is paranoia on behalf of certain people
within AUFC. I will not and do not want a local slanging match
between the local clubs within Ashford as there are
plenty,Ashford Dynamo,Ashford Athletic and so on all who were
well established by name before Ashford Football Club.
There was no funding by Vbar although AFC played at Homelands
and trained there whilst VBar were in charge. The club paid
their way with match fees training fees etc all paid. Home
matches were scheduled to be played in the 2016/17 season at
Homelands but AFC would only get a booking for pitch hire
after AUFC and Canterbury City so it was 3rd dibs to play. In
time it was obvious that this would not work out so AFC now play
their home games at The recreation Ground in Appledore.
Persons involved now within Ashford Football club (AFC) have in
the past been involved in football locally with both Ashford
Town FC (God rest its soul) and Ashford United fc. Any thoughts
again by any person that think that AFC is a threat to United is
absurd.
Congratulations on winning the SCEFL and may United as todays
most senior rated club within Ashford, go from strength to
strength. I am sure with the people involved from the garage
trade that are featured within United will provide the most
stable footing that a senior club in Ashford has had for many a
year.
Note
I have just read this statement which is absolutely
untrue, damaging and to be fair somewhat callous.
Ashford FC are a joke that a certain company helped to set up
and payed certain people to run in the hope it would help to
demise AUFC.(quote from Just Love my Footy.)

I'd be more concerned about the taking of money from local
companies for sponsorship boards that AFC didn't/couldn't
supply. Now that's callous and damaging would you not say? Taxi
anyone?!

Quote from my previous posting;
"I will not and do not want a local slanging match between the
local clubs within Ashford..
I am sure that the readers who have followed the retorts from
other postings with regard to Ashford Football club would have
made up their minds as to validity, truth and clarity of the
situation, without the trademark smoke and mirrors that has
often been purveyed in the past from certain factions.
