Whilst you were searching for loan docs... the team only went
and did it!!!!
I'm 'confused' about why there's not been a single
acknowledgment. Clubs on the up... unless I've missed the point
and you've all got cash invested? Future is bright... I guess
this toxic forum now closes?

Yes, and thoroughly deserved but why should this forum close?
With DC still on board anything could happen in the next couple
of years.

Congratulations to the team and the supporters. Superb game
yesterday and thoroughly deserved, especially after what they
have been through. Good night after as well ;)
I have more confidence now that Derek is at the helm with a
controlling hand on the tiller and has legal documents signed.
However this forum, I believe, was set up for freedom of speech
which was lacking at the club. I do not trust DC and will use
this as means to discuss that as I see fit.
Onwards and Upwards!

Wow what a fantastic season it's been, got rid of Glynn jones
and his cronies, got the ground back, got the ground grading,
got the pitch passed, won the Kent Senior trophy, won the scefl
championship and our crowds have grown with a huge 807 there to
see the lads lift the trophy!
There must be a few people feeling rather sick that they chose
the wrong side and didn't stick by Don, Denise, Derek and
Margaret!
Setting up a rival Ashford football club apparently for the
people, by the people of Ashford. Only to fall foul of the jones
empire and kicked out of Homelands.
Luckily a lot of "real" fans found out for themselves 18 months
ago what was going on by asking questions from the people at the
top.
Some found out how jones conducts himself by receiving
threatening legal letters and bans, this only cemented the
truth, why would you try to silence fans if you were just an
innocent money lender?
It's sickening what they tried to do to our club and how many
haters jumped on the bandwagon.
Anyone seen Mrs/Mr Confused of Ashford or Elmafud? The two
biggest rumour spreaders and muck throwers! I'd like to hear
their reasons and apologies!
Still it's over now, our great club is back in step 4 and out of
that poxy scefl!
The future is looking good now, Lyzee has signed on for two
years and is already building his squad for next year.
I can foresee crowds growing as we go on and more successful
times.
Now is the time to get behind the club for those that haven't
already and help to make it grow. Like it or not, Don loves the
club and isn't going anywhere, Derek has backed him 100% as has
Denise and Margaret plus many supporters.
The scenes on Saturday were a sight for sore eyes, Don was in
with the fans singing in the second half, and the celebrations
went on until late into the evening in the bar.
Memories that a stick with fans long into the future. A real "I
was there" moment just like the cup final. History has been
made, first cup for 20 odd years and first league win since
1949!! And to think a few said we wouldn't be playing past
Christmas!!

More waffle from DC's press officer. Wrong about Ashford FC -
they were not kicked out of Homelands - they left of their own
accord.
DC is not the hero of the season. That title goes to Derek
Pestridge and D & D Autos. Without their money Ashford United
would have folded.

Have just re-read "Footys" posting and noticed the comment about
the scefl. Disrespectful and stupid. Could come back and bite
you in the bum.

Well said justlovemyfooty, i would imagine a few of the doubters
choked on their Weetabix yesterday morning when they realised
just how much of a success the season was, if only they wasn't
sucked in by the lies n deceit of a certain northern based
company. Medway, you clearly know nothing about the SCEFL as
most clubs feel the same, one rule for the bigger clubs n
another for the rest. The league trophy sums the league
perfectly as it's still the old Kent League trophy from the year
dot, change the name of the league change the trophy surely!!

Nonsense. The SCEFL are covered by the same standard rules as
all other leagues are.
Plus the fact that Ashford United are the biggest club currently
in that league anyway.
I agree with Medway rebel. That comment calling SCEFL poxy was
disrespectful and ill advised.

Well done winning the league despite all the difficulties , has
promotion been officially confirmed or has it been assumed at
this stage ??
