No longer confused?

The forum is now very quiet? The team are on the verge of
something amazing. A certain 'confused' individual who was
behind many of the crazy rumours hasn't been seen for a while.
Funny that.

Hello Mushy , as I used to watch Ashford in the Essella Rd days
I have tried to follow their stuggles over the years . There
seems little info on the current situation on the web site or
local press or this forum so could you update me on the current
ownership/financial position and chances of promotion if they
win the league ? It would be good if Ashford reappeared in what
is currently R1S and reestablished their reputation for football
!

Mushy, it is very strange that the confused person of Ashford
has disappeared without trace. Maybe fallen into the deep hole
of vicious lies and rumours it dug itself?
This forum should be really alive with excitement on a par with
the results our beloved team are gaining. But as I've said
before, except a few, most on here seem to enjoy it more when
the club is struggling! Instead of backing their club they shoot
it in the back.
Current state is...
Ashford United now own the ground again, never in doubt if you
knew the facts though.
Ground has passed the FA grading for promotion.
Floodlights have passed their inspection and been given their
certificate.
Pitch has passed the inspection needed by the FA for play to be
able to continue.
Ashford United have won the Kent Senior Trophy.
Ashford United sit proud at the top of the league on joint
points with Crowborough but a far superior goal difference.
If Ashford win at home V's Rochester on Saturday, or just match
Crowborough's result at Hollands & Blair, Ashford United will be
champions and gain promotion to step 4, currently the Ryman
south.
It's a huge day for the club on Saturday, and should bring in a
decent crowd.
It's a testament to Don, Denise, Derek and Margaret plus Danny
Lye, Shaun Welford, Shaun Holland and all the players that the
team have done so well this season.
Everyone including supporters have come together as a team
through this last 18 months to pull through some difficult
times.
To of just survived would of been an achievement, to win a cup
and be in a great position to win the league is nothing short of
amazing!
The doubters will continue to doubt, the supporters will
continue to support and hopefully will be their on Saturday to
witness something very special in the history of Ashford United.
Like I've said before, it's football, so I'm not counting any
chickens just yet. But one thing is for sure, come 5pm Saturday
I'll still be a happy Ashford supporter just in the knowledge of
still having a great local club to support.
United We Stand..

the start of the club being known for what happens on the pitch
and in a higher league !
