Ground, pitch & floodlights
By: Justlovemyfooty Date: March 31, 2017, 11:17 am

I can reveal with great pleasure that the infamous 3G pitch
passed its inspection today!
The ground passed its grading to the level of D which is ryman
premier.
The flood lights past their inspection to.
Nothing like the £220,000 reported needing spending on the pitch
by Glynn Jones!
A few areas (I think about 15) have been either lowered or
raised.
A maximum of 10mm is all that is allowed either way for the
pitch to pass its test.
Mad when you look at any grass pitch!
But it's done and passed with a minimal spend.
So the 3 D's have had control back of our ground for 5 days now,
and look what's been achieved.
Now it's down to the players as there's nothing else stopping us
from getting promotion.
Humble pie anyone?
Will this stop the rumour spreaders and haters?
I doubt it!
I look forward to reading the replies

Grade D is appropriate for Ryman ( Isthmian ) South. Not the
Premier.
A club can be allowed into the Premier with grade D but must
achieve grade C by 31March in first season or face relegation.

In answer to “my footie” it is clear that the fans of Ashford
United have been fed on a diet of pork pies, from all sides, for
the last 18 months. I doubt if more than a couple of posters
on this forum could be classed as haters. The rest are genuine
fans who are sickened by what has happened to the club they
love over the past few years. If what you are saying about the
pitch etc is true then we are pleased and we look forward to
seeing the ground brought back to its best.
The only people that should be eating humble pie are the ones
who placed the club in a dangerous situation in the first place.

Unicorn, so they're allowed to play in the prem then yes?
Believe me there's very little that needs to be done to pass to
the level of national league south.
I was there Sir!
I wonder what lies Rebel is speaking of that the club itself has
allegedly told.
All I have been told was proved to me to be true after a visit
to court and a chat with the clubs barrister.

I was just pointing out that what you said was not quite right.
Yes not a lot would need doing to comply with National League
South.
