       I realise that this has nothing to do with AUFC, but as fellow
       non-league enthusiasts I am sure that nobody will object to me
       using this space to congratulate Alfie May on his 1st
       professional goal, having scored the Doncaster Rovers equaliser
       7 minutes after coming on as a substitute in their 1-1 draw at
       home to Luton.
       Alfie has made several sub appearances since joining Doncaster
       from Ashford's near neighbours Hythe on Jan 1st, and it is a
       measure of D2 table topping Rovers manager Darren Fergusons
       trust in Alfie when, with his side trailing and less than 20
       minutes to go, it was to May that Ferguson turned to go on and
       make a difference, and he certainly did that with a well taken
       goal, keeping his composure to coolly slide the ball past the
       keeper and into the net.
       Well done Alfie, the 1st of many I am sure, and thoroughly
       deserved. Such a nice guy too.
