       That Court Case.

High Court - Chancery Division - Master's Daily Court List
       Room to be advised
       Before MASTER Clark.
       Thursday 26th January 2017 at 2.00pm
Ashford United Football Club Limited v V. Bar and others.
A MASTER usually hears cases that can be determined and decided
at one sitting. Hence the use of a room and not a full blown
       court.

Ashford United are suing V.Bar & others. Could be for anything
but doubt it is for the mega action talked about earlier last
year. It is even possible that today's action could be an
application made by V. Bar. e.g. to strike out said action. No
way of telling at this stage.

Anyone have any clue as to what happened. Have heard that it got
adjourned indefinitely, but nothing more than that, and that is
       unofficial.

Does "adjourned indefinitely" more or less confirms V-Bar are
keeping the ground to do with as they will? Not noticed any
fireworks going off over homelands tonight. ;)

That is anyone's guess, elmo. Somehow I don't think that we have
heard the last of it. If it has only been adjourned then I
assume that it can be restarted if certain measures are met.
Can't see DC giving up that easily.

Legal cases don't come cheap and I could be wrong but doesn't he
/ the club still owe lots already?
Stand to be corrected but I think I saw something somewhere
about Directors' personal legal fees being paid out of clubs'
       funds.

I hear it has been postponed and 'they' think it will be the end
of the season before it is before the judge/clerk again. Also
that the legal fees are being 'guaranteed' by 3 names as a new
person steps forward from the background.

An alternative view is the case went well and the ground will be
       transferred back within 2-3 weeks.

An interesting view, possibly based on a Trump "alternative
fact" I beg to suggest. Definitely doesn't tie in with anything
that I have heard, that's for sure.
Where did you pick this unlikely gem up, or is it just wishful
       thinking on your behalf.
