Ashford lose at Bearsted and, so I'm told, Hythe say no to
       ground share deal.

I also hear Hythe said no but you only have to look at their
board to see why. Also hear Canterbury signed with Deal just
before AUFC could negotiate for themselves.
Maidstone are too expensive and, I hear, Dover and Folkestone do
not look kindly on the current owners.
Perhaps Faversham - if they beat Crowborough to the title.

Rather than looking at the board, fluff, I think that you should
refer to that well known adage of "once bitten twice shy" for
your reason for Hythe's reluctance to offer a ground share. As
for Deal, well, after the way that a Deal official described the
owners of AUFC when I spoke to him last season, and I would not
be allowed to repeat it on a forum, I am not sure that there was
ever likely to have been much chance of a ground share there
either. Mind you, he may have left the club now, or his opinion
may not be shared by others at the club, so who knows.
Face it, the current ownership is not the most popular group in
this part of Kent, for many, many reasons.

So, where could Ashford United groundshare? Agree that
Folkestone & Dover appear non starters. Lydd Town is fairly
local but DC renaged on a promise to share expenses for a close
season friendly. Maidstone would be too expensive and Chatham
Town + Rochester United already have tenants. One possibility
is the Julie Rose Stadium but I don't know who owns it. It
used to be Ashford BC, who have no love for DC, but they no
longer administer. All this could be avoided if ownership of
Ashford United were passed to local well regarded business men.

I wonder if any of you go along to games? Talk to people in the
know about what's really gone on and going on? We have four
loyal supporters that took time off work and made the effort to
go and find out first hand about it all. They traveled up to
London to sit in on the last court hearing (yes it was a public
hearing) and despite the best efforts of your hero Glynn Jones
to not allow them in, they sat through and heard it all for
themselves! Even got to speak to the clubs barrister.
They'll tell you facts, not fiction dreamt up by somebody that
has ill feeling towards the 3 D's as you call the people
       fighting to save our club.

My response to "footy" is to say that i still attend games and
support the club in any way I can. I do not look upon Mr Jones
as any sort of hero. When the Ashford United forum was closed
bang went the chance for supporters to air their concerns. I
know there are social media outlets but these are heavily
vetted. I also know that there are people working hard to save
the club but why has this situation come about? The "party
line" is to blame V Bar but I don't buy that and neither do most
other fans. Maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel as
the appointment of Derek Pestridge as a director was long
       overdue.

I do not know why it all gets so personal.
Two situations ( apart from winning the League of course ).
V Bar have control of the ground.
Companies House still says receiver appointed.
Thats the two main problems. The club can not go forward until
       they are sorted out.

I woud say to 'footy' that I have given time and money to the
club. I still help out when I can when attending games.
I have been a fan of town and united, through Essella
       Rd/Homeland, Bettridge/Jenner etc etc.
This forum is the only place you can air your opinions without
being abused by certain D3 supporters.
I will continue to support the club BUT I will not support DC.
As with so many, once bitten, twice shy.
