That's a shame. During the good days of Steve Monks stewardship
it was often the place to see latest news and rumours of what
was going on.
It's a shame the club felt the need to control it, and in
banning everything that they didn't want people to know or talk
about killed the debate and ultimately the amount of posts made.
Still even these days it could attract 300+ guests a day and if
utilised correctly was a powerful tool at the club's disposal.
Having looked at some of the last posts made, not many came
forward to say they agreed with the closure. Or even voted for
it.

If this forum is to have any level of worthiness then we can do
without mud-slinging at people that might hold a different
opinion to yours. Otherwise it will soon become just another
'clique' forum that only serves to criticise and / or take the
piss out of those with a different opinion.
I am sure that many that come on here will be 'anti Crosbie',
however that doesn't mean that that should turn into the
unwritten agenda.
Elmofudd - antagonising someone who doesn't share your views,
before they have even posted really doesn't help set thing off
on the right foot does it?
What we need is a place to have open and honest debates, not
somewhere to carry on petty squabbles.

I am not advocating censorship, far from it. However I don't see
the point in most of your posts containing snipes at someone
that you don't like.
If this forum is going to thrive as a realistic replacement for
the old forum & others are to be encouraged to come here and
enjoy the freedom to discuss the situation at the club, then a
good start would be less of the personal attacks. The same old
joke on all your posts is becoming tiresome.
One of the worst things to have come out of all the mess at the
club is the fact that fans who should be united have split into
camps and are more interested in having backed the right side in
a legal argument than it seems they are in supporting their
team.

Take that as a no deal then.
If you don't see the point of my posts or find them tiresome
then just don't read them....simples innit.
I shall continue to post within the forum rules as I wish with
the knowledge that should the owner / admin of this forum share
your view then they will delete them / me no doubt.

Rick, think you need to think back to earlier forums where the
bunny caused all sorts of problems, and picked many a fight with
people, including the admin on one forum, the mod, and elmofudd.
Personally, I would not like to see him appear over here as he
is trouble, not because of his views, but because of his
arrogance, his rudeness and his inability to accept when he is
wrong, which he is often.
I would like to think that more people would join, not just anti
owners, but pros too, so long as the forum stays as a forum
should be, a place for debate, not one where each side just
slags the other off.
As for Elmo, his posts still make me chuckle, maybe I am just
childish.

Not sure why you deleted your post as I didn't have a problem
with it. To answer your questions as I remember them:
Yes, I am well aware of the history of the 'official' forum.
Personally I lay the blame for all of the problems firmly at the
door of DC & TB - and to a lesser extent those that have allied
themselves on one side or the other and have taken more interest
in the fight between the two than the welfare of the club.
I was the Secretary of the Supporters Club. That is the only
role, official or otherwise that I have ever held at the club.
I did not attend the meeting and so did note vote on the future
of the forum.
I hope that answers your questions. Now isn't an adult
discussion more constructive than all this back biting?

That may be the case, however I just don't see the point in
every other post being a snipe at someone. It's time for
sensible discussion to prevail.
