       Homelands

       Poor old Homelands.
I have been told that the back wall has been condemned and will
cost £50,000 to put right, if done correctly. Also the stadium
has failed its fire inspection and needs repairs.
On top of this I hear the league have said that the pitch needs
to be taken up and relaid properly at the end of the season.
Beginning to feel sorry for V Bar as if all this is true then it
seems they have 'inherited' a white elephant.

As V-Bar 'own' the stadium doesn't this post risk a defamation
letter from them, it's surely no worse than ex SOE comments. No
       source etc, basically just slander?

You obviously didn't read the comments by SOE then. He really
should keep away from keyboards when he has been drinking. So
positive for the club when sober, but a liability when drunk.
Anyway, word on the street is that things could change in the
not too distant future, and that any change may not be good for
       the 3 D's, or AUFC.
Still, with Ashford, rumours are often way off the mark, and I
am none the wiser as to what the rumours are referring too, but
I am told that all could be revealed sooner rather than later.
I await developments with baited breath.

Well, my breath is still baited, as I await any news concerning
the Homelands. Wonder if the high costs of putting right the
numerous problems with the stadium, due to lack of investment by
numerous previous owners, is having an effect on VBars attempt
       to recoup their money.

After a little cooling off period I am in total regret of my
actions. I have made a conscious effort to stay away from the
situation; I agree I have been a liability and all that has gone
on has totally undermined any hard work I have done building up
       United We Stand.
Many will be happy to know that due to long standing health
issues I am taking a break from the booze and hopefully people
have realised how absent I have tried to keep myself recently
       online.
I have apologized to the parties involved and tried to perhaps
explain why my head was where it was/is, I'm just very concerned
about the plight of my beloved hometown team & didn't handle my
       frustrations very well.
I just hope people don't think I'm total yob and I do care.
