Another win, be grateful for any reports from people who were
there. I wonder if Lye and Philips made it in the end after
getting stuck on M20.
Also what is big george doing, letting in two goals ;D
(assuming he played)

George did play and yes Lye and Phillips eventually made it
there, ten minutes in perhaps?
Ashford could and should have been at least five goals to the
good at half-time, Booth more culpable than anyone of failing to
hit the net.
George Savage scored with a wonderful strike, albeit past a poor
goalkeeper.
Second half was an absolute shambles. Ashford were lucky that
Erith are such a poor team (one of the worst I've ever seen) but
I don't think any AUFC fan could have had any complaints should
the home team had claimed the three points after taking the
lead.
Both goal against were pieces of terrible defending, however
questionable the first may have been in the eyes of some.
Equalising penalty was soft, you don't see them given by most
officials. Welford winner was due to another mistake from an
inept Erith side but he did well to stay calm and slot it home.
Only blessing is that Ashford beat a bogey team, but that simply
wasn't a good enough 90 minute performance.
