FA Cup

Twitter has it that a Shaun Wellford goal saw AUFC through to
the next round of the cup with a 1-0 win over Rymans South Three
Bridges. That should help towards paying the rent.
Anyone know who they meet in the next round, and where?

I thought Ashford were the better team. Blustery conditions and
Three Bridges seemed to lose there way in the 2nd half. I like
the look of Luke Eldridge. Excellent result and no goals
conceded this season, so the defence is looking very strong.

The two wins in the FA Cup so far are useful sources of income
with United already winning GBP3350 in prize money !

Now that should be a proper test. Burgess Hill always seemed to
be a team of hard tackling giants, back in the day.

Loved going to Burgess Hill, proper ground, edge of a housing
estate, lights must be switched off early. Lots of happy
memories.
Might try and make this one.

The prize money is awarded for the round you get to. AUFC have
qualified for £1925 so far as they won their prelimary round. If
they get through the next round it will be £3000, 2nd round is
£4,500, you get one payment only.
Not a bad show as they were missing Pat and Ryan.

I thought yesterday was by far the best we've played so far this
season. The team seem to be gelling more and more each game. I
can see us giving a side a heavy defeat in the coming weeks,
especially when Palmer is back and Ince is fit.
Eldridge looks a fantastic player and could well go far in the
game.
Rory Hill, George Savage and Ben Davidson should be playing at a
higher level! Danny Lye has built a great squad, well worth a
watch!
I believe we could well push Burgess hill all the way on the 3rd
September.
Come on you Greens.

Thanks fluff for clarification on the FA Cup Prize Money, your
message was greatly appreciated. Burgess Hill will be a tough
assignment but all good wishes to United !!!
